"Me and My World" is my brief autobiography. Great personalities wrote their biographies to be remembered with others. Major Urdu writers and poets have written their biographies and became famous in the world of literature. I got the idea of writing autobiography when Mr. Majeed Arif a noted short story writer from Nizamabad, asked me to write some articles on my memories about Nizamabad for his website myizamabad.com, so I wrote a detailed article on my school memories. This article was loved by the people of Nizamabad and my childhood friends and teachers. After that, when I  wrote an article on the death of my father some more memories of my life were collected in that article. The third article I wrote was related to the world of radio. After that, during the Dussehra holidays, I continued to write on various topics about my past and present life, thus the memories of fifty years of my practical life were preserved in this biography. The autobiography  title Me and My World is chosen because this autobiography covers the memory of many people and events which were associated with me, This is a brief story of my life, this is a story of a child who has progressed by studying Urdu. This autobiography is also written so that it may give some guidance to others, and our friends, poets and writers of Urdu may have their own ideas and to get inspired to write their own autobiographies. It is hoped from the readers of this autobiography that the topics covered in it will surely be liked by knowledgeable friends. Readers' critical response will be my motivation.

Foreword

 

Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui is a soldier of Urdu. His practical life is like a fighter of Urdu who has not seen failure and continuously achieved success in the practical field of life. Holding the post of Lecturer after studying in Urdu medium and then being promoted to Principal of a Govt Degree College is a best example for Urdu students. Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui mastered computer and is constantly working to connect Urdu with computer. He is a compassionate person who not only writes continuously on Urdu but also helps Urdu scholars and students in promoting their skills in Urdu language. This is the reason why today many students of Urdu are in government jobs in various Universities, Schools and Colleges. And he has his hand in guiding these people. Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui has written more than ten books, his articles were published in various magazines and newspapers. Since a long period, no Urdu writer or poet has published his or her autobiography. But Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui's decision to present half century of his life's past experiences in the form of autobiography is a welcome step. Because of his experiences of fifty years in human life is so much that if presented in the form of a book, a good collection of memories will be accumulated. I know Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui since his stay in Nizamabad. His tenure in Giriraj Govt College, Nizamabad was unforgettable. And now his promotion of Urdu services in Hyderabad and Zaheerabad are exemplary. It is hoped that the events presented in this autobiography will definitely be a source of guidance for the people of Urdu. Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui has presented his life history in detail in this autobiography. This will also help in preserving the family history. His family is a scholars family. His family members achieved considerable fame in their lifetime. The status of his educational journey and the status of employment periods will also be a source of guidance for the youth who dream of development by studying Urdu. Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui's life experiences, along with technology, his religious and social behaviour and other topics, hopefully will be liked. In this autobiography, there is a narrator and story teller. The style of narration is simple and interesting. In this autobiography, a glimpse of the social and cultural history of the city of Nizamabad and Hyderabad in the last half century is also found. Just like in the past, Urdu writer Aal e Ahmed Suroor presented his autobiography "Khawab Baqi Hain" and the famous poet Josh Malihabadi presented his autobiography "Yaadon Ki Baraat" and other Urdu poets and writers also became popular in the world of literature. Taking the initiative like Dr.Mohammed Aslam Faroqui and preserving the circumstances of his life in a book form in a biographical manner, it will be a great favour to Urdu literature. I congratulate Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqi on the publication of his autobiography "Me and My World" and hope that this autobiography will be well received in the literary circles and the young generation  who follows Dr. Mohammed Aslam Faroqui. It will continue to gain light for himself from the events of his life.

My Family

 

I begin with the praise of Allah Subhanahu Wata aala, the One who is the creator of this universe and who blessed me with the wealth of Eemaan and raised me in a family of scholars in the city of Nizamabad. It is a wealth of knowledge that I had the opportunity to capture some of the memories of my life in this book so that with the passage of time these memories will be of interest not only to me but also to people who know me, family and friends.. And be the means to preserve my life's journey in the form of a book. My life circumstances will continue to be presented in different ways in different chapters of this book, but at the beginning of this chapter I would like to introduce my family so that those who read this book can understand my family in a better way. I belong to Nizamabad. We started the journey from this city. Now our family members are spread across the world and serving the society .Let's start the journey of this autobiography in which it is possible that my narration will continue to acquaint you with the days and nights of the life of the last half decade.

When I regained consciousness, I was often told by  my elders that our forefathers belonged to Jankampet, a village near Nizamabad. On the way to Bodhan from Nizamabad, a small town comes across. Where there is now a pond and a dargah on the right side. I have seen while travelling in this direction that people who pass in front of this dargah on their rides used to throw money on the dargah as they go. Bus drivers and lorry drivers, especially feel that they must offer something or the other at this dargah. It is known that they do this for the sake of devotion and safety of the journey. A little further from Jankampet is Shakarnagar and Bodhan Town. Asia's largest sugar factory in Shakarnagar is the Nizam Sugar Factory which has been closed for a long time and its former employees are still waiting for its restart, with the memories of this great factory. That the government will treat the employees of the factory somewhat well, but now there is little hope that this factory established by Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan will be restarted. There is a famous tradition about the name that during the Mughal period, when Aurangzeb, the conqueror of the Deccan, stayed in this area, he missed his Tahajjud prayer at night. Fajr prayer was never delayed or missed in the king's life, so he said about this area that Een Jaye bu da neest means that this place is desolate. This area is also called Rakkaspet. However, Jankampet Bodhan and Shakarnagar are areas close to Nizamabad and the people living there keep telling such things about this area. My grandfather Ismail Faroqui's relatives were from this Jankampet, who later moved to Nizamabad and started living as a joint family in a house in Mohalla of Bhoi Galli. When the epidemic of plague broke out in Nizamabad after independence, it is said that the people of our Bhoi Galli family moved their children and women to the forest of Sirnapally, a nearby village. When the epidemic subsided, these people came back to Nizamabad.

The memories of the past were often mentioned in conversation with my father Mohammad Ayoub Faroqui Saber and his great uncle Syed Wahid Ali Wahed. The name of the house in which we lived till 1985 is Yaqub Manzil. It was found that this house was named after father's grandfather Yaqub Sahab. The reason for this was that the late Yaqub sahab said in someone's dream that why you people have left him in his previous house. On the basis of this dream, my grandfather late Mr. Ismail Faroqui late and the elders of the house named the house of Phulang as Yakub Manzil. The house number of this house is still in the minds of our brothers and sisters and the number was 1-6-83. This is the house in which me and my brothers and sisters have spent our childhood and this house still comes in our dreams even though we shifted to many houses later in our life. But that kind of love was there for the soil of the place where there was the same house with kaveli roof. A part of memories and dreams remained. People of our family in Jankampeth were agriculturists. And there used to be fields of rice and sugarcane. The memories of agriculture remained such that in our house in Phulang, there were large clay pots in the kitchen and a large basket in the hall. Once in a year, a farmer  use to come on bullock cart and give paddy and sugarcane to my grandmother. Farm sugarcane was a natural gift for us, everyone used to divide these sticks of sugarcane and thus we enjoyed our time by sucking this sugarcane for many days. Grandmother used to keep the paddy carefully in earthen pots and baskets. It was found that since these people moved to Nizamabad, agriculture was given to the word, which in the local language is called Qoul. That is, the farmer used to do all the agricultural activities on our land and whatever was produced was divided half each. In ancient times, there was love among the people, there was honesty. Grandmother never told anyone to go to the village and see how much the farmer yielded. Only once a year did our share come and the consumption of this paddy was that when Grandmother’s daughters used to come with their children to stay at our  house, so we were told to fill the baskets with paddy and go to the granary to grind the paddy, that is, separate the rice from the paddy. When this rice came, it would be well cooked. If there was a feast etc. in particular, Baghara rice dalcha curry and dry curry with brinjal and pulses was cooked and eaten with relish. Apart from this, on the occasion of the Giyarhween, this paddy was taken out. Grandmother used to celebrate the Giyarhween festival and invite all the relatives of the family. Apart from this, there were some other dear ones from Jankampet, among them one Fareed Amil and one Iqbal Mamun whose wife was Rahima Apa. It is said about my grandfather, Mr. Ismail Faroqui, that he passed away after a short illness when my father Mohammed Ayoub Faroqui was a small child, i.e. in seventh or eighth grade. He was probably employed in the Revenue Department. I used to hear from my father and his maternal uncles that there was prosperity everywhere in the state of Hyderabad during the Nizam regime. Nizam Sarkar's coinage was in circulation. Generally the people were happy and prosperous. But just as India's independence movement was in full swing and there was talk of the creation of Pakistan, similarly the movement to include the Nizam's state in India was common. Volunteers from the Nizam had fought to keep this great state as a monument of Muslims. Meanwhile, the first Home Minister of India, the Iron man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, had annexed the state of Hyderabad to India by force in 1948 AD while conducting Operation Polo. Seniors used to say that there was a lot of bloodshed in Hyderabad at that time and in the districts, feelings against Muslims were stirred up in the name of Telangana movement and the atrocities of the system were falsely propagated and seeds of hatred were sown in the minds of the people. Dad used to say that immediately after independence the doors of government jobs were completely closed for Muslims. People used to work in shops or do small businesses in Gunj. My father has four brothers,Asghar Faroqui,Azhar Faroqui. Amjad Faroqui and Anees Faroqui. Father had a brother Ibrahim Farooqui who died in childhood. A myth was created that his name started with I not with A so Ibraheem did not survive , I don't know if it was a superstition that father's name was Ayub, then his later brother Ibrahim. Since he passed away, all the boys born after him had four-letter names in Urdu. Asghar-Azhar. Amjad.. Later, even among his descendants, the tradition has been maintained till today that if a boy is born in the family, his name starts with Alif or A and is placed on it in the context of Zabar, like my elder brother Ahsan. My name is Aslam. Then Ashhar.Ansar.Aqdas.Ajmal.Amaan, Asad, Akram, Almas, Ashraf, Atyab, etc. There is probably no name left in the dictionary starting with Alif or A that has not been kept in our family. It is possible if there is a shortage for this sort of names, then someone will break this family tradition.

Dad and other family members used to say that after grandfather Ismail Farooqi's death, our grandmother Rehmat Bi Sahiba raised children in very unfavorable conditions and made them all good people by educating them. All their sons joined the government service and the daughters got married in good families. Grand mother Rehmat Bi Sahiba's father and our father's grandfather Mr. Khudrat Ali Sahib used to live in Imli Mahal in Nizamabad. He was a great officer of Karodgiri and when he used to go to inspect the villages in the Nizam government, he was greeted in grand manner. A sister of our grandmother was our grandmother,(Naani) whose husband Dawood Rehman Sahib was a famous merchant of Nizamabad. Nana's shop was in Ganj of Nizamabad. It is said that he started the business with Ibrahim Kachi as a small kirana shop of Masjid Kachian. Allah blessed his business so much that he soon became one of the leading Seths of Nizamabad. His son and my uncle Syed Nimat Ali alias Saleem Seth expanded the business and went to Shivakashi Madras and bought the first pipe match agency for Nizamabad. Later these people started promoting horse and other brand matches. His shop was named Dawood Rahman& Sons and Dawood Rahman Agencies. The match business went well and every week one or two lorries of matches were sold. Nana was also our father's unckle Khaloo. So father used to say that after SSC he also worked as a clerk in his shop for some time. And his salary was eighty rupees per month. He did this job to help his widowed mother to alleviate the economic hardship at home. Dad continued  his studies. He completed his PUC which is now called Intermediate from science subjects. Had he tried, he would have got direct admission in medicine, MBBS in those days he had to go to Hyderabad. Dad's cousin and later my maternal uncle and Dawood Rehman's elder son Mr. Liaqat Ali also got admission in MBBS. Dad also studied MBBS for one year from Osmania Medical College Hyderabad. At the end of the year some annual fee was to be paid which the father could not manage. His uncle and later father-in-law were requested to arrange their fees but they did not. And father had to give up his MBBS education, which he missed all his life.On the other hand, his cousin Liaqat Ali completed his MBBS with famous psychologist Dr. Majeed Khan of Hyderabad and famous Dr. Manan Sahib of Nizamabad etc. Liaquat Ali Sahib was a physician and cardiologist. He opened a clinic in Nizamabad adjacent to the Paradise Hotel building established by his father. But after 1960, most people were in the mood to go to England, so Liaquat Ali moved to London along with his wife Suraya Begum and children. There he practiced well for thirty to forty years and made the name of Nizamabad famous in London. Dad used to say that he did his BA from Evening College. In those days, BA degree was very important, people used to write BA (Osmaniya) with their name and kept the BA degree in a frame in their homes. It came to know from father that first he got a job in ITI and later he got a job in the Department of Employment and Training. as clerk, after which he was promoted and held the post of Statistical Assistant and later he got promotion as Employment Officer, Adilabad. Dad used to say that he was transferred to Warangal and Vaqarabad as well. He was married to Qamar Un Nisa Begum, daughter of Dawood Rehman.

I heard about my father that he stayed in Warangal, Vaqarabad, Mehboob Nagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad in connection with his job. It was learned from mother that her brother Yakub Ali and our cousin Mushtaq Bhai were also staying with her in Warangal and Vaqarabad for a few days. Once my elder brother Ahsan Faroqui was fell in a water house and mother saved him from drowning in Vaqarabad. The mentioning of my brothers and sisters is as follows that we are four sisters and two brothers. My elder sister Nasreen Begum studied up to SSC, later she got married. Her husband, Khawaja Mian Sahib, a mechanical engineer retired from Sirpur Paper Mills. Their children include Dr.Sara Firdous, Humira Firdous, Moinuddin Mukram, Hina Firdous. And Sidra Firdous are all married. Before marriage, our sister was a bit scared, so she was kept at grandmother's house for comfort. Before marriage, she helped her mother in the housework. Seeing the customs of the time and our ancestors, my mother also used to do sewing work. In Ramadan, more people came to sew clothes. Our sister also used to do sewing work. Even later, with the passing days of life, the elder sister and other sisters took great care of our parents. During our stay in Kaghaz Nagar, we used to go to her village. Bhai Jaan Khawaja Mian Sahib took us all on a tour to the company Paper Mills. He gave us all a steel cast Masala Grinder made by the company as a gift. The house ofB class quarter was quite big with mango trees and other trees. Memories of Kaghaz Nagar are a part of our childhood. Elder sister's only son Mukrram is living in Australia after marriage, so elder sister and brother also visited to Australia to see their son,They also performed umrah by visiting Mecca and Madina and hoping to perform Hajj also.Life has changed a lot. After the elder sister comes the number of my elder brother Dr. Mohammad Ahsan Faroqui. He was educated in Aga Khan School and Qila High School and Junior College in Nizamabad. When he wrote the SSC exam, it was probably in 1980, all the papers were leaked at that time. In those days it was difficult to crack the SSC exam. Bhai took science at Intermediate. The dream of the family was to make him a doctor. He appeared for the MBBS exam but due to lack of proper coaching he could not get the official seat at that time. So he cleared the BUMS exam. After a year or few months, he got a seat in Kurnool. Later, on the recommendation of Sayeeda Chachi's uncle from Delhi, who was a great hakim in Delhi, Bhai Sahib was transferred to Charminar Unani Medical College in Hyderabad. As long as we were in Nizamabad, we used to play cricket at home with my brother. There used to be somesmall clashes with my brother while playing cricket. He had a hero bicycle which was later used by me. Bhai Sahib stayed in Hyderabad for one year at Asghar Chacha uncle's house, later we moved to Hyderabad for my studies and Bhai Sahib's studies. Bhai Sahib showed a lot of effort in his studies. During his studies, he used to say to his rich uncles and at home that he will earn good wealth by going ahead. However, after doing BUMS, he did his MD. He got married to his classmate Dr. Anees Jahan. Bhai started practicing before marriage. First he set up a clinic in Amberpet Hyderabad where he started seeing patients at ten rupees per patient, later he started his own clinic in Hakeempet Toli Chowki called Shifa Clinic which is still running today.At this clinic he sees more than 100 patients every day. While Bhai Sahib was in Hyderabad, he and his wife got government jobs as Junior Medical Unani Officers. Brother was appointed to Lingampet near Kamareddy and bhabhi to Bibipet, father personally went and referred sister-in-law to the job. Later, these people started living in Kamareddy, at that time also Bhai Sahib had become famous in Kamareddy and he had good relations with the famous politicians Shabbir Ali and Yusuf Ali etc. After staying in Kamareddy for some time, Bhai Sahib and Bhabhi they got teaching posts at Charminar Unani Medical College Hyderabad and they were promoted as Assistant Professor to Professor. Bhai Sahib had three children, two sons Ashhar Faroqui, Ansar Farooqui and one daughter Aiman Fatima. He gave good education and training of children. Ashhar Faroqui Engineer is currently residing in Canada and Ansar Farooqui did his MBBS isa doctor now at Veranchi Hospital Banjara Hills and Aiman Fatima is residing in Dubai after marriage. A big problem came in the life of the brother when his wife was suffering from a deadly disease of cancer and could not be cured even after a lot of treatment and she died in the month of Ramadan 17th day after Iftar. She was cremated in the presence of hundreds of mourners at Hakeempet Qabrastan. For some time mother took care of the children and did not let them feel the grief of their mother's separation. Bhai Sahib's second marriage was with Arshia, daughter of our elder sister Nasreen Apa's friend in Nizamabad. Her father Sami Sahib is a famous merchant of Raja Button Store in Nizamabad. Thus Bhai Sahib once again got connected with Nizamabad. After marriage, they have two daughters Bisma and Zoya who are studying in school. Bhai Sahib is a great Unani doctor. Allah has given him a good ability to diagnose diseases. He treats all the relatives in the family and gives medical advice on which disease to be treated in which hospital. He specialized in Hijama the Arabic therapy. He performs hijama himself and encourages other doctors to do hijama by setting up a camp. He first gives a lecture on the efficiancy of hijama in the light of hadiths and then performs hijama on the patients. Later he started a treatment called Fasad to remove waste blood from the body. He treats patients suffering from BP diabetes and pain disorders. During Covid, he treated many patients and was himself affected by Covid but did not get away from the patients. He is invited to many places within the country and abroad for treatment and lectures. Brother wears a topi on his head. Earlier he used to wear a pant shirt coat. Now he wears a Pathani suit, Sadri and a head topi. He is religious. He performed Hajj and Umrah. His busy schedule is seeing patients from 9 am to 1 pm and teaching at the college. Hecontinue to give instructions to the patients over the phone also. He trained a boy named Sameer in his clinic so well that Sameer has now become a doctor and in brother's absence he treats the patients well. Sameer along with bhai sahib is also famous among the family and patients by giving injections and doing blood tests.After the demise of our fatherhe gave a share to our brothers and sisters, in which we were so blessed that all the brothers and sisters now have their own houses. Let me tell you that our house in Nizamabad was in Yaqoob Manzil, which was my grandmother's house in Phulang Nizamabad. Dad had four brothers. But since I regained consciousness, I saw that we and Amjad chacha's family stayed together in Phulang's house. Earlier, it was said that during the wedding of Azhar Faroqui and Faheem chacha, these people also stayed with us. The part of the house was the hall, two bedrooms and a small room, two kitchens, bathrooms, etc., but look at the blessings of that time that many families lived in this small house. Azhar Faroqui shifted to his in-laws house in Mustaidpura and later he built his own house in Ahmedpura Colony. Asghar Faroqui bade chacha shifted to Hyderabad for work and later the younger uncle Anees Faroqui also shifted to Hyderabad. Grandmother had another house in Phulang, which is said to be named after daughters. Amjad Chacha and we also lived in this house for some time. Later, at the time of partition, he bought that house and gave a share to his sisters. In life, what was divided by the grandmother mother, the sons who do not have children were separated by giving money and we and the younger faheem chacha were given the house of Phulang as a share. Which was sold after shifting to Hyderabad. During our stay in Phulang, father took two hundred yards of land in Malappally area and constructed a kavelu house which was our own house. It is said that after selling the gold of the house and taking a loan from the uncles, that house was built in 12,000. There were four large rooms and a courtyard on two sides. We went to Malapally for the inauguration of this newly constructed house, the next day there was a party in the afternoon. The tenant who rented that house always insisted on paying the rent late. And when its roof and wall collapsed in the rains, mother and I repaired this house. After selling that house for twenty eight thousand, when we moved to Hyderabad, two hundred yards of land was bought in Meraj Colony on the advice of my bade chacha, and an RCC house was built on it for one lakh and ten thousand rupees with the advice of Faheem chacha engineer. We also have many memories associated with this house. When we moved to Hyderabad, goods were transported from Nizamabad to Hyderabad in my mamu's match bus. Bhai Sahib had taken a rented house in Malle Pally Hyderabad on the advice of chacha. After staying in this house for a few months, we moved to Meraj Colony, after living in a rented house there, the construction of our house started. Abid Khan Sahib, a local and international celebrity tableeghi jamat worker, laid the foundation stone of the house. Subb Rao and Venkateshmistry constructed the house. At that time, there were no columns in the houses built by Chacha, but load-bearing RCC roofs were put on mud walls. But the construction was so good that it fared better than today's RCC houses. Initially the house was constructed with two bedrooms and a hall kitchen store room. The house had a nice courtyard with jam nembu and flower trees planted later a divan khana  guestroom was constructed. On the occasion of the inauguration of this house, the worshipers of the local mosque participated in the recitation of the Qur'an, Mr. Abid Bhai prayed and it was suggested that a weekly ijtema should be started in the local mosque. This was the early period of settlement of Meraj Colony. However, our house in Meraj Colony was very blessed. All the siblings got married in this house and later the nieces and brother's three children got married. The special thing about this house was the arrival of guests. Before that the family members used to come and stay at bade chacha's house in Hyderabad, later people started coming and staying at our house. My mother was very hospitable and it was her habit to cook and feed whoever came to her house with good dishes. In connection with the illness of our grandfather, Mr. Dawood Rehman Sahib, maternal grandparents, maternal uncles, etc. used to come to this house. A special guest of our house was Syed Wahed Ali Wahed, uncle of Bombay, whom everyone in the family called uncle of Bombay. He was the brother of our grandmother. Brother and father were great uncles we all called him as Bombay ke Mamu while he used to be the paternal uncle in the .He worked as Deputy Commissioner of Labour in Maharashtra Labour Department. The famous humour writer Yusuf Nazim was also his companion. Bombay ke Mamu used to stay at our house for ten days to a week, after the death of his wife, he lived alone for about thirty years. He used to write good poetry. He has described the grief of separation from his spouse and the agony of loneliness in most of the poems and ghazals published in the poetry collections Mata-e- Gham and And Inbasat e Alam. Whenever he talked to my father at home, he used to talk about the old days and the memories of Jamia Osmania, the atrocities of the police action. Whenever Liaquat Sahib used to stay at our house for two or four days, he was a diabetic patient, he used to test his sugar at home in the morning and evening and after taking insulin, he used to drink a glass of nimbu juice with sugar. If the sugar level gets low, he would immediately send someone to ask for sweet gulab jamun and eat it. Hecalled our mother as Qamru, and he used to eat her hand-made millet bread with passion, and on mango days, it would be made from mango juice and rice flour. Dosas, which were called cheele at home, ate with mango juice. Grandmother also stayed in the house. Grandmother used to order her pills with me every month. Sometimes she used to stay at bade chacha’s house, but for a long time she stayed at our house. Father was employed in Vikalangula Corporation Hyderabad on deputation for two years, later he stayed in Adilabad for the last seven to eight years. In this way, our house Yaqub Manzil was very busy. This house was built in 1985 and forty years later, after the partition, Bhai Sahib demolished the house and built a beautiful four-storied building and renamed it Yaqub Manzil.

So the talk was going on, our elder sister Nasreen Begum, elder brother Arshad, Dr. Mohammdd Ahsan Faroqui then comes my number. My date of birth is officially 13th December 1969 as recorded in the SSC memo, whereas in those days children were admitted to school late at the age of five or six years and date of birth was mentioned a years less in school. My family members say that my age has been increased by one year while the actual date of birth is 1968. Regarding the date of birth, I remembered that my uncle Azhar Faroqui is doing an important job of writing the history of the children born in the family and the relatives who died. He has a diary for forty to fifty years in which he is writing the birth dates of family members, children's birth dates, marriage dates and death dates. He has also written down the custom of who got married and what things were given in the wedding. It is hoped that someone will continue this series, now the families have spread so much that it is difficult to remember the dates and write them down. However, from the uncle's diary, one can guess what events happened in the family on which dates.I remember my childhood memories so much that when I was little, I had the ritual of Bismillah at home, which is done at the age of four years, four months, and four days. Wearing a silk sherwani, a big laddu was placed directly under the right hand and Surah Iqra was recited. The process of education was started by teaching. My Bismillah ceremony was attended by my uncle Liaquat Sahib from London. And family members gathered for the feast. I remember that when Faheem Chacha's marriage ceremony was held at our grandmother's house in Khalilwadi, I was seated beside Nosha and the marriage ceremony was held on the roof of my grandmother's house. Childhood memories are that in the age of kite flying, I only saw kites flying in the sky. During the elections children used to collect the party symbole silver badghes and silver caps of cool drink bottles, among them Fanta and Maza caps were popular. Games were played with these lids. The children of the neighborhood used to play gotian or ante, but it never became a hobby for me. However, the game of cricket was played from the early days with my brother and friends. On the occasion of Diwali, burning firecrackers brought from grandmother's house, burning the gunpowder from half-burnt firecrackers and other games are part of childhood memories in school. There are pre-admission memories. Playing with my cousin brother, the late Quddus Khalid, at his house is also a part of my childhood memories. My grandmother used to go to the treasury office to collect her pension. She would often take me along in a rickshaw and on receiving the pension, all of us brothers and sisters would be given one rupee or two rupees. This was the big prize of that time, it was in the year 780r80. One paisa, two paisa, five paisa, ten and twenty paisa were also in circulation. If a bandi of kulfi or ice fruit came in front of the house, delicious kulfi was available for ten paise. Jam berries were also available for five to ten paise. In front of the house, after sunset, Wadood Bhai's khare ki bundi would come, often we would only look at it, sometimes if we got money in our pockets, we would buy khara or sweet sone patti. During Ramadan, there was splendor in front of the Phulang mosque. Turab ke dahi bade were very popular. My childhood memories also include that Mr. Fateen Ashraf Siddiqui used to come from the North for Taraweeh in Madina Masjid of Phulang. He used to stay in the upper room of the mosque for a month. I used to listen his revision of Quran during Ramazand. There were a lot of beedi makers in the locality. Their children used to abuse and play street gilli danda and other games. As our house was considered to be the nobles of the neighborhood, we were not allowed to play with such children and the mood was also such that life was spent far away from dirty and mischievous children. .

After entering the school, the memories of the school are described in a separate article of this autobioghraphy and also the rest of the life is described. However, the childhood of a child of the seventies did not pass with much fanfare. I remember that for some time my mother used to accompany me in the bath, later she continued to go to the bath by my self. Pants, shirtsKurtaand pajamas were my clothes. After SSC and Inter, the series of pant shirt ended, the details of which will come later.

In the mention of siblings, I am followed by my younger sister Fauzia Parveen. Who studied upto SSC.Her early education was at Aga Khan School in Nizamabad and later at Girls High School Garhi and after transfer to Hyderabad she studeit at Nampally Girls High School in Hyderabad. She also did not get a chance to read much. Before marriage or after marriage, She also worked as a teacher in Century High School located in the neighborhood for some time. Dad also served as headmaster in this school for some time. Faozia Parveen was married to Waheed, a teacher of Noor School in Kaghaz Nagar. Waheed used to come to our elder sister's house to give tuition to the children, seeing his good behavior and conditions, bhaijan Khawaja Mian Sahib arranged Parveen's marriage with Waheed. We went to Kaghaz Nagar from Hyderabad by train for the marriage. The dowry and food items were transferred by train. Faozia Parveen and Waheed's daughter was Sadaf Fatima. Some time after the marriage, the sister was persecuted a lot in Waheed's house. My sister’s separation with Waheed was done due to circumstances. Things were difficult for Parveen for some time, later she got married to Ayub Khan of Metpally Nizamabad. Later they shifted to Barkus in Hyderabad. Parveen's father-in-law Ahmed Khan Sahib who is popularly called Ahmed Khan Sherwani is quite a dynamic person. On Ayub Khan's suggestion, our fourth sister Fayeza Tazyeen was married to Ayub Khan's brother Ilyas Khan. Sadaf Fauzia is Parveen's first daughter. She was brought up in our house, she studied up to SSC Inter B.Sc and B.Ed. Nana Dad was worried about er marriage, however, after being brought up in our house, she got married to Ayaz. Faozia Parveen is staying at her in-laws Barracks. Parveen and Tazyeen have bought aown house with the money they got from their father. And they both are happy in their life. Our third sister is Shazia Yasmeen. Who was first educated by our family through English medium while all our elder brothers and sisters were educated through Urdu medium. Yasmeen's early education was at Rotary School in Nizamabad. From there, Rehana aunty Azhar chacha's house was near. They kept Yasmin as a daughter in their house for some time, but Yasmin did not like staying there, so she came back to our house. After moving to Hyderabad, Yasmeen studied at Crown School, followed by inter and degree studies.When the elder brother was in Lingampet for his first job, Yasmeen had a relationship with the elder son Aziz Siddiqui, who was a tenant in Siddiqui's house. The wedding took place in Hyderabad and the Valima reception took place at Lingampet. Yasmeen has five sons and one daughter. Sons include Safi Shajee, Saqi Sahjee and Zaki and daughter Shadan. Yasmin has given good education to her children, one son is studying in London and the elder son Safi is preparing for IAS. Yasmeen spent most of her life in Lingampet and now resides in Mehdiputnam. Our youngest sister is Tazyeen. Who was born in the house of Phulang Nizamabad. After birth, due to the reaction of some medicine, all the skin on her body came off and new skin came. Tazyeen was educated at Crown School, Hyderabad, where she studied up to B.Com and M.Com. She is married to Ayub Khan's brother Ilyas Khan, her husband lives in Bahrain while Ayub Khan is employed in Kuwait. Among the children of Tazyeen are two sons Arham and Anas and one daughter Ayesha. Tazyeen is working in a private school these days. Whenever there is a function in the house, both the sisters used to come from the barkus to our house in Meraj Colony. Thus all the children of my father Ayub Farooqui and mother are happy in their own lives. This was the brief description of our own family members, now the description of some family members is also being presented here.

Dad's second brother Asghar Farouqui joined ITI and retired after holding the post of Principal ITI. Azhar Farooqui, the third brother, did his MA in English. He also had medical training and was known as the doctor in the family, often coming to our homes to give injections of the antibiotic penicillin to people with fever or skin disiesed. In those days penicillin was the cure for every disease and people were cured by it. It was in the form of injectable powder and distilled water in a glass vial with warm water for injection each time. He would dip the syringe in hot water and put the needle on the syringe and fill it with distilled water and fill it in the injection vial and after the white medicine was ready, he would fill it in the syringe and give us the injection. At the end, he used to stop some medicine and put it on the boil or the wound. Azhar Faroqui got a job as English lecturer in Nizamabad Polytechnic and retired from Nizamabad on pension. My third uncle is Amjad Faroqui who was employed in Railways. During his career he worked in various railway stations of Andhra Pradesh. And after retiring on pension, he is living in Hyderabad with his children. Younger uncle Anees Faroqui was a civil engineer. He was also a good fiction writer, six or seven collections of fiction and one collection of poetry were published. After retirement, he died due to a brain tumor disorder. Respected father also lived a long life. Had good health. After retiring from the post of Employment Officer from Adilabad in 1991, he permanently stayed in his house in Toli Chowki, Meraj Colony. To stay busy, he was also the Principal of Century School English Medium in Meraj Colony for two years and later lived a quiet life. He died on 21 November 2018.

My father's second brother and my great uncle Mr. Asghar Faroqui retired on after becoming the principal of ITI at Gudoor Andhra Pradesh. Most of his career was spent in Hyderabad. And after living in rented houses in Kaliqabar Vijayanagar Colony, in 1982, he bought land in Meraj Colony, four kilometers away from Mehdiputnam and built a house. 116 and 217 RTC buses ply on the road from Mahdipatnam to Tolichowki onwards. We call Mr. Asghar Faroqi Sahib as bade chacha. He is always very cheerful. Whenever he used to talk to my father during work, he used to know about his past memories. When we were living in the house of Nizamabad Phulang, at that time he used to come to Nizamabad from Hyderabad on the occasion of Eid or on the occasion of someone's marriage. When ever hecame from Hyderabad to Nizamabad, he used to bring some gifts for us. It is mentioned once that when he came, he bought a whole basket of sitaphal for our family for the first time we ate basket full of sitaphal. Asghar Farooqui Sahib built an RCC house in the deserted area of Meraj Colony. To participate in house warming ceremony , more than fifty relatives of our family traveled by train from Nizamabad to Hyderabad. According to my childhood memory, this was my first train journey. This journey was made by Nizamabad to Hyderabad passenger train. The departure time of the train was four o'clock in the morning. And I did not sleep all night in the joy of traveling to Hyderabad. The caravan of relatives filled two bogies of train and left for Hyderabad. Along the way comes the Mirza Pally Station. Our uncle Asad Sahib said that the tea here is famous and indeed we saw that all the passengers of the train started drinking tea at this station and very quickly more than a thousand people had drunk tea.This passenger train was popularly known as the Milk train because it stopped at every small station before reaching Secandarabad station and the villagers loaded the milk cartons on the train and stopped until it finally reached the Secunderabad station. A huge railway station where one had to climb stairs and get down on the other side. Bade chacha came to the station to receive us. At that time, double buses were running in Hyderabad. We were surprised to see a double bus for the first time and boarded the double bus number 5 from Secunderabad to Mehdipatnam. All the family members were on the upper floor. On the way, we were surprised to see the big signboards and the hustle and bustle of the city. However, we reached Vijayanagar Colony Chacha's rented house by this bus, which had a spacious courtyard. Everyone finished eating and drinking and started preparing for house warming ceremony. Next day we went to uncle's new house in Meraj Colony, Saadat Kada, where there was a feast during the day. Meraj Colony was still under development. Nearby was a newly constructed mosque, Habib ul-Nisa. Apart from biryani, apricot sweet was made in the feast. The entire family stayed in the new house for two or three days. There were only two things left to eat and entertain. When we were in the house of Vijayanagar Colony, we used to go to Nampally Garden with our uncle Mr. Sheikh Abdullah Sahib and uncle Amjad Faroqui by walk while coming back, we realized how long the distances are in Hyderabad. During the years, carrom board games were held with uncles and aunts and the whole family gathered in one place and celebrated a lot. Allah did not give the blessing of children to the elder uncle. So it was known about Chacha and Chachi that they used to keep the children of their own family in their house for education in Hyderabad. Chachi and Jilani, who worked at her house, were experts in cooking. Every one said thattheyate delicious food at their house, whether it was a feast for fasting people in Ramadan or on common occasions. Since the elder uncle had shifted to Hyderabad earlier, all the family members would stay at his house whenever they came to Hyderabad for wedding shopping or treatment of illness and the uncle and aunt never lacked in hospitality. He considered my elder brother Ahsan Faroqui as his own son. When my father had a chest operation, we stayed at my uncle's rented house in Kali Qabar for a month, when I was young. There was Musa river and a park in front of the house, I used to visit this park often in the evening. Along with us, our grandmother mother Rehmat Bee. Sahiba used to stay in the uncle's house. I remember that for the first time, we were served the benishan mangoes of Hyderabad and ate them at our uncle's house. When elder brother was also involved in an operation at Charminar Hospital, we used to take to meals from bade chacha's house. Even during the illness of our paternal uncle, Sheikh Abdullah Sahib, Tiffin used to go to uncle's house. Uncle stayed in this house for a long time, later sold this house and built a new house in Surya Nagar Colony, Hyderabad. Every Eid, when we used to visit uncle's house, we would get a chance to drink the  tastysheer khurma made by chachi. As the uncle had no children, he used to actively participate in the marriages of the children of the family and he gave time to everyone's sorrows. He used to come home every morning to meet our father. Dad was unable to sign the pension checque due to the effects of paralysis after his retirement. On the first day of every month, Chacha would come to our house and bring the pension after somehow signing a check from Dad. Mother used to make tea for uncle and father every day. Asghar Faroqui Sahib performed Hajj and Umrah. Due to not having children, he sold his house to a member of his family and with this money, he built four mosques in the name of his father, mother, himself and his wife, in which a religious madarsa also runs. Chachi Sayeeda Begum was popularly known as Dulhan Mami in the family. She was smart and sophisticated. She used to call her husband as Faroqui Sahib. Uncle had a Bajaj scooter and both the husband and wife used to sit on it and come to meet the family members. Chachi was diagnosed with diabetes and after a few years she passed away suffering from this disease. Chachi died at the same time when the covid epidemic was common. Chacha did every effort to treat her. When Chachi died, chacha stayed alone in his house for a year,the maid cookused to preparefood for him and he continued to follow the same routine of going to the mosque and staying at home. Since my uncle was a government employee and he had a good pension, he told me that if there is a widow, I will marry her so that my loneliness will go away and my pension will be useful for her after my death. I was employed in Mahboob Nagar. Then Sania, a BA student of our college, informed me that her father died in Covid, she has three sisters and the poverty is high. If her mother gets married to my chacha, the girls' education and marriage will be arranged and the uncle's pension will also be transferred.It was through Sania's maternal uncle that the uncle was not blessed with children in his life, so he agreed to marry with sania’s mother who had three daughters.dnd thus, two years  today, the bade chacha’s marriage took place in Hyderabad. Sania moved to our uncle's house with her two sisters and mother Sana Begum. Allah blessed this relationship in such a way that Chacha kept himself healthy despite being 80 years old and within a year Sania was married and second daughters engagement is also done. The the third youger daughter is studying at school. Chacha's second wife wanted to get the happiness of Umrah, so Chacha with his second wife was proud of by peroforming  Umrah recently. These were brief accounts of my bade chacha. Third uncle Mohammed Azhar Faroqui studied MA in English. Dad had studied BA while working in grandmother's poor life, but Azhar Chacha studied MA in English, which was quite a standard education for his time. He retired after holding the post of Lecturer in English at Polytechnic. He was married to Rehana Begum, the daughter of Mr. Mehmood Ali Saheb Mustajir Abonus. Allah's will was such that they also did not have children. Chacha and Chachi tried to adopt my younger sister Yasmeen but our sister could not settled in their house for long. Uncle's house is in Ahmedpura Colony Nizamabad. Since Chacha has no children, after retirirement, he is associated with the activities of Hajj Society Nizamabad and continues to guide pilgrims with the help of Mr Naseer Saheb formet lecturer in History of Girraj Govt College Nizamabad. Since they he was  English lecturer, in the family he always used to talk about English grammar and new words whenever they talk to the children. On his encouragement, many members of the family, including me, got the blessing of Hajj and Umrah. Chachi is also quite popular in the family. It is customary for them to participate in all the wedding ceremonies and give gifts in whatever house the marriage takes place. He resides in Nizamabad and often stays for a long time on arrival in Hyderabad. The fourth uncle of our family is Mohammad Amjad Faroqui, who was an electrician in the Indian Railways. When we were children in Phulang's house, at that time Amjad chacha's family also stayed with us. Among his sons are Asad Faroqui, Akram Faroqui, Azam Faroqui, Almas Faroqui, Ahmar Faroqui, and daughters are Nishat, Nousheen and Nureen. now all the children are married and all are happy in their own places. As a child, my uncle used to come home once a fortnight after doing his railway duty. He also used to bring special railway bulbs, which provided enough light, whenever there were electrical problems in the house, we used to see him. Whenever he would come home, he would stay for a long time. He did not like the railway job. Grandmother used to tell him that Amjad why you are not going to job. There are small children. How will your house run if you don’t do work? However, Amjad Chacha's sons proved to be his asset. Asad Faroqui, Akram Faroqui, Almas Faroqui are now abroad while Azam Faroqui and Ahmar Faroqui are involved in business in Hyderabad. The elder son Asad Faroqui is very interested in cricket and often talks to family members in support of the Pakistan team. He is also famous for speaking in humorous way. As a child, when our family and his family used to stay together in Phulang's house, often Asad Faroqui alias Shahid used to request our mother to make sweet roti puran puri on Sundays, for which the night before Preparation was done and sweet rotis were made together in both the houses. Amjad Faroqui's wife Shamshad Khatun moved from Nizamabad to Hyderabad to bring up her children in unfavorable conditions and now her children are staying in own flats. Shamshad khatoon was suffering from diabetes for a long time and she was undergoing dialysis in her old age and she died of this disease. Younger uncle Anees Faroqui was an engineer by profession from Nizamabad, he studied from Polytechnic and he worked in APIIC. During his work, he constructed houses in Meraj Colony and other areas. He was known as Engineer Faheem Sahib. A few years after retirement, he died of a brain tumor. Anees Faroqui's children include Atyab Faroqui, Athar Farooqui, Ausaf Faroqui, Ameen Faroqui, Ashraf Faroqui, Junaid Ameera. His wife, our aunt Jabeen Begum, belongs to the same family, his father Mr. Mehmood Ali Saheb worked in the Health Department and was his paternal uncle who is still alive after reaching the age of ninety years. Anees Faroqui was a good fiction writer and poet. Five collections of his fiction were published. At his last age, he started writing poetry after taking correction from my father. Often he used to come to our house, so our mother used to invite him to eat jawar ki roti. Despite having a large family, he raised his children well and today their children are working in Saudi Arabia and Australia. Grandmother had five sons and four daughters. That means we had four paternal grandparents. Badi phuphu Abida Begum was a teacher and worked for some time in Aga Khan School in Nizamabad.Later, her husband Mr. Nazeer Hussain Faroqi migrated to Karachi Pakistan in the year 1971 after seeing the trend of those days, Abida Begum also went to Pakistan with her children. Her children include Tajmal Hussain, Muzamal Hussain, Naveed and Razi, while his daughters include Zareena and Sameena. Their children have also got married. Abida phuphu visited India once with her children, later her daughters visited India, since last several years they have been away from their homeland due to the tension in the diplomatic relations between the two countries. And after the development of the Internet, now they are in touch with their families through WhatsApp calling. Her children love their country only, while Phoophu Jan still remembers India and her brothers and sisters. Our second phuphu is popularly known as Chunu Pasha or Tek ke  phuphu, her house was at a height in Meraj Colony. Her husband Mr. Moinuddin Sahib was an employee of Agriculture Department and died after retirement. Among his children are Mushtaq bhai brothers Ashfaq, Ishtiaq, Imtiaz, while his daughters are Iftat, Ismat, Talat, Sabahat and Raffat. Especially Ishtiaq, Ashfaq and Imtiaz and Talat Rifaat among the sisters became associated with religious activities and are living an exemplary life.

Now every paternal uncle's children have become a family. Our third paternal grandmother, Zahida Begum, lived in Nizamabad. He has a son Ahmedullah Parvez and daughters Ishrat, Nuzhat, Farhat, Shabana and Asma. Our ancestors lived in poverty and raised children and married. She sewed and ran a household all her life. Grandfather Mr. Sheikh Abdullah Sahib was employed in sugar factory and electrical department. He was also a great expert in carrom board. He died of cancer. His only son Ahmad who is popularly known as Parvez in the family moved to America after his MCA education to work in Cognizant Company and is now buying a private house there. The family members are proud of the child who has grown from a life of poverty through his education and research and earns a monthly salary of more than five lakhs. My younger aunt is Sajda Naseem, whom we call Naseem's aunt. Among her children, the eldest son, Abdul Quddus, died at a very young age due to drowning in the Nizamabad canal. He was my classmate. And were fond of favorite foods. His other brothers include Abid, Hamid, Majid and Zahid, while his sisters include Bilqis, Nafees, Asma and Salma. Our younger uncle Mr. Abdul Rasheed was a UDC in the health department and was considered the champion of Nizamabad in his time. It should be cooked a lot. He claimed that he was also a good healer and used to recite operative mantras, but never in practice have we seen that he cured anyone. Died due to illness. Someone had prayed to our grandmother that her family would flourish and a practical example of this can be seen that in the descendants of three sons and four sons, all of them got married and had children and the family expanded to the world. All the people known by the name Farooqi have made their mark in some field or the other. And stay in touch with each other. These are the details of our dadhyayal. When we pay attention to my nanhyal, we find that my nanhyal has also spread quite a lot. The mother of Ms. Qamar-ul-Nisaa Sahiba belongs to a famous merchant of Nizamabad. He is from the family of Mr. Dawood Rahman. At the time of the death of Dawood Rehman Sahib's first wife i.e. our grandmother, he had two sons Syed Liaqat Ali and Syed Nimat Ali Saleem Seth and among his daughters, elder aunt Mehr-Nisa, mother Qamar-Nisa Begum and younger aunt Najma Begum. Syed Liaquat Ali settled in England, he was a doctor. Their children also stayed in European countries. The other uncle Salim Seth continued to manage his father's pipe match business. He was fond of studies but he did not get the opportunity to study much to manage his father's business but he educated his children well. His elder son Syed Wajahat Ali Nadeem is living in America. Another son Shafaat Ali Syadat Ali Kaleem is also in America, one son Naseem and younger son Azeem look after their father's business in Nizamabad. We used to call Saleem Seth as Saleem Maman. He used to read Zuhr and Friday prayers daily in the first row on the right side of the Kachian Mosque. He had a great taste in reciting the Quran. He passed away some time ago. After that, my uncle lived a separate life for more than ten years and reciting the Qur'an was his hobby. He passed away a few days ago after crossing the age of 80 years. He took care of his sisters in his life. At the time of our grandmother's death, it is said that our mother was young and our grandfather married a second time. Ali' Syed Siraj Ali and two aunts are Asma and Rizwana.Nana raised the children well and sent Syed Yaqoob Ali to America who is an engineer, after that Imtiaz uncle Asrar uncle Riyaz uncle Ijaz uncle Asma aunty and Rizwana aunty moved to Chicago America. Our grandfather had a spacious two storied house in Mahalla Khalilwadi in Nizamabad. This house had many rooms and each room had three doors. This was the characteristic of this house. This house is said to have belonged to a Muslim member of assembly from Nizamabad. In which our uncle Syed Liaquat Ali and others had done beautiful gardening and tree planting. In this house there were mango, jam, jaman, sputa and other fruits and flowers trees and plants and grass. Whenever we went to stay at grandma's house, it was fun. In the earlier times, there was no custom of marriage houses, so since my grandmother's house was big, the marriages of the family's children used to take place in this house. Marriages of brothers and others took place. Nana personally supervised the dishes at these weddings, at that time only goat meat biryani and double dessert were made in the dishes. Later, the custom of making chicken in wedding feasts started. Since Nana was a capitalist, the phone came first in the family and black and white and then color TV and VCR also came. We used to go to Nani's house to watch cricket matches on television and used to bring tape records to our house and listen to Mani Begum and Jagjit Singh's ghazals etc. Since Nana had a match business, on the occasion of Diwali, she used to bring a bag of firecrackers from Shiva Kashi. My uncle's children also studied well and now most of them are living in America and keep in touch with each other on phone.Thus my little one is also quite famous. And we the people of Dadhyal and Nanhyal together make a big family and when the relations of our family's children are somewhere in a new house, they get recognized somewhere. State Amirs of Tablighi Jamaat have passed. He was an AO in the Agriculture Department and served Tablighi Jamaat throughout his life. Among his sons are Hafiz Irshad Ali Mahir Qari and Khatib Masjid Qutb Shahi. The elder son Javed Ali died at the age of 40. The younger son Rashid is in the business of buying and selling old computers. My father-in-law was my grandmother's half-brother. Among his brothers are Shaukat Ali, Khurshid Ali Maqbool Ali. Our grandmother was a younger aunt of our mother. Among her sons, Khalil Khan and Aqeel Khan were also closely related to the family. Mother's uncle Mehmood Ali who was Rehana Chachi's father and Azhar Farooqui's father-in-law, among his sons Mr. Masood Ali, Asad Ali, Asghar Ali, Jamshed Ali, Wajid Ali, Akhtri Begum Farzana Begum was the best family ceremony. Akhtri Begum was Saleem uncle's wife and Farzana Begum Abid was uncle's wife. Father also had step-aunts whose names are Hamida Khala, Akhtri Begum and Afsari Begum. Akhtri Begum's husband Farid Painter was a famous painter of Nizamabad. His sons Ahmad Bukhari are teachers and Asad Bukhari are painters. Since Nizamabad was our native land, the people of Dadhyal and Nanhyal stayed in Nizamabad, later many people came and settled in Tully Chowki Miraj Colony. My School Days

 

Everyone loves childhood. He never forgets especially the memories of childhood. After going through the vicissitudes of life, sometimes when a person travels to his past in his free time, he is haunted by the golden memories of his childhood and hopes that he could have his childhood. Go through the era once again or meet the companions who were his childhood companions. When children are young, they do not know why their parents and family create fear in their hearts that their playing days at home are about to end and they will be sent to school. The fear of school was created in the minds of children to such an extent that children considered school as a prison. But later in life when a person looks back on his past, a large part of his childhood memories are his school days where he first learned to read and write from his teachers. When I think about the foundation of the point at which I am in life today and what pearls I have been able to gain from knowledge and literature, I realize that my education and training and adorning the jewels of early education After my parents, the persons who have showered their talents in my favor were my childhood teachers, remembering whom I feel heartfelt joy today. These memories are of the teachers who were associated with the first destination of my educational journey. And even today in the city of Nizamabad, this school and its branch Junior College, Nizamabad, is the educational institution of many generations. I will present my primary school memories here when I studied from 1st to 7th standard in this school from 1976 to 1982. The Aga Khan Upper Primary School was located in Barkatpura at the site where Crescent Junior College stands today. As mentioned, the month of June usually starts the new academic year. And admissions are made. Some memories of Aga Khan School which later became a part of my consciousness that our phuphu Abida Begum was associated with this school. She later went to Pakistan and many of her students remembered her as Abida Teacher. My elder sister Shahnaz Nasreen and my brother Mohammed Ahsan Faroqui, who is currently a professor in the Department of Medicine in Nizamia Medical College, Hyderabad, studied at this school before me and other family members were also studeid in this school. My father Mr. Mohammad Ayub Farooqi Saber late was a Statistical Assistant in Employment Department those days. And I knew that this was the department from where call letters were issued for jobs, and in our house, in the diwankha of Yakub Manzil, Phulang Nizamabad, many people came to meet my father to ask for the call letters. It was often heard from his friends Mr. Kazim Ali Sahib, Mr. Jabbar Sahib, Shuttari Sahib etc. that father has employed many people. In this way, it was fixed in my mind that father works in the department where people get jobs. I was traditionally nervous when my playing days at home were over and my brothers and sisters said, 'You're about to enter school.' Kareem Sahib's rickshaw used to come to the house to puck us, Kareem Saheb who used to drop us recides in a Kwelo's house in Patili gally near the Unani Pharmacy in Arab Street and he used to come to Phulang to pick us up. However,Me and my brother and sister reached the school in Kareem Sahib's rickshaw. Bhai Sahib took me to Mr. Jabbar Sahib a Telugu teacher of the school. Jabbar sahab asked me my name and father's name. After I answered both, he asked me what is your father would do. I replied that they provide jobs. He said that he will give me a job too, I don't know if I answered or not. In the early days of the school, children used to be admitted to the minor class. In the early days, children used to cry often, the school teacher would give chocolates to the children to celebrate, if the children still did not obey, Majid sir would scold the children and make them sit on the tin roof. Thus my education in the school started. Mr. Rasheed Sahib was the headmaster of the school at that time. Children used to write his name on the walls by distorting it. His name was mocked on the walls of Barkat Pura. I remember that to scare the children. He used to bring stick and raw to the class room. Mr. Yakub Sahib, who later became the headmaster of the Aga Khan School, was responsible for teaching the Urdu alphabet to the children in the elementary classes. His children Mr. Ayub Sahib, Mujeeb Sahib, Najeeb Sahib were studying in school back and forth in those days. Yaqub Sahib was very strict. But his teaching style was very good. He used to write big alphabets on the board and while moving his hands from right to left over the letters, he would hum something and ask us to practice the letters by saying let's go.Yaqoob Sahib had taken the B.Ed exam during his stay in the school and I remember that he was also in jail for a few days, later it was found that it was during the Emergency and many leading prominent figures of Nizamabad affiliated to Jamaat-e-Islami were in jail during those days and they were released After the Emergency, Yakub Sahib joined the Aga Khan School again and being the Headmaster, rarely took our classes. Once when I was in 7th grade and my school record was that I always came first in class from 1st to 7th grade, I had the honor of being the clever student of the class. There was no teacher in the class and it was said that the students should continue their work quietly, but due to the absence of a teacher, the children started making noise in the class. I was beaten a lot with a piece of wood and I was held responsible for why there was no silence in the classroom. It was not for any reason, but it is said that the teacher beating is like a garland of flowers for the students. Jabbar sahab used to teach Telugu. He was very fat, a huge tiffin used to come from his house in the afternoon and we used to wonder how he could eat two or three boxes of tiffin alone. Since we used to come from Phulang, we used to eat tiffin in the school in the afternoon. The place where the tiffins were kept was near the water well, where water bottles were kept. During the hot days, ants often got stuck in the tiffin, which were cleaned and eaten. In the school, the first bell of the interval was at 11-15 in the morning. We used to go out to relax ourselves. Outside the school there was a famous picker who often sang the song Chana Jor Garam. My choice is delicious, whoever eats it will become a Tehsildar. Similarly, at that time, some people of the Kuchi community used to put food items on the bundi, which used to be boiled potatoes. This was the era when the lowest amount was one paisa, two paisa, five paisa, ten paisa, twenty paisa, and a lot can be purchased in five paisa. Sometimes at home, grandmother used to give one rupee each to me from her pension money at the beginning of the month. We considered ourself rich like Addu of a short story who used to have one rupee in his pocket. One of our classmate Nadeem was a special friend of mine who is among the brothers of Salam Zarda and is currently in Hyderabad. In between taking some food with them, we would often spend time sitting on the steps of a school wing house in Barkatpura. The appetizing smell of great cooking would waft from Khoja's house in front. School memories are also such that you never forget. I was very fond of listening to cricket commentary from my childhood, like everyone else in the family. There was a Murphy radio at home, on which we used to listen to the commentary. In Interville, whenever I got a chance, I would go to the nearby pan-box on the side of the Rotary School, there the cricket commentary would be playing and I would find out the score. This was the era when Sunil Gavaskar in the Indian team. Vishwanath.Vengsarkar Kapil Dev etc were the stars. The Pakistan team visited India in which Asif Iqbal was the captain of the Pakistani team, Zaheer Abbas, Imran Khan etc. were the important players. The England team that toured India was Brierley captained and Ian Botham scored a century. During the commentary of all these matches, I have listened to the interval with interest. Jabbar Sahib is being mentioned among the school teachers. Once, on the occasion of Milad-ul-Nabi, SIO organized a writing competition. Jabbar Sahib asked me to write in Telugu. I wrote an essay in Telugu. I wrote it down when I first came to know that the Prophet is called Pravakta in Telugu. I wrote this article based on the childhood events of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Telugu, so I got the third prize. Once, Jabar Sahib was checking papers in the class room, he kept checking my paper and putting marks. When he counted the marks, it was 102, that is, he had to give marks out of 100. Then he made these marks 99. Among the starting teachers of Aga Khan School. There was also Mr. Mazharuddin Farooqui who was very fair coloured and smart and used to teach English like the British. His style of teaching ABCD was unique. Later he left the school and while in progress in Hyderabad, he was associated with the education department of Maulana Azad Urdu University and currently resides in Saudi Arabia. Mazhar Sahib used to live in linae gally Nizamabad in those days. His close friend was Mr. Faheem Sahib who taught me basic English. What is your  name. What is your father's name. The questions and answers taught by How Old are You helped me master English. And love to listen to cricket commentary and interest in English resulted in Urdu medium student and a son of a poet as the result came in SSC exam I got more marks in English than Urdu. Faheem Sahib from Aga Khan had gone to Saudi Arabia for employment after school and came back to join Khidmat Bank. He died some time ago after a short illness.And I often used to meet him in Raza Baig Mosque. During my stay in Nizamabad, when I was transferred to Giriraj College, I met Mr. Faheem Sahib after many years in a program organized in the hall of Raza Baig Mosque. Every year on September 5, on the occasion of Teacher's Day, I share the picture taken with these teachers on Facebook and pray to Allah that the shadow of these teachers may stay on our heads for a long period and these teachers may live a healthy life. Mr. Azeez sahib  joined Aga Khan School as a young teacher. He teach us science, he was strict and he used to ask questions from the lesson that was taught today. Just like Azeez Sahib is a flamboyant speaker today, his speeches used to be flamboyant in the Aga Khan school also. Be it on the occasion of Teachers' Day or Aga Khan's birthday, his speeches used to be informative. Every morning after prayer in the school, teachers' speeches used to increase our knowledge. Majid Sahib teach mathematics to the students of the higher class. I remember that in order to teach geometry, he used to bring wooden props and other geometry materials to the class and teach geometry on the board. What is a hexagon? He also explained Algebra and the newly added curriculum sets and functions well at that time. Majid Sahib was also known for his strictness. He was also religiously strict and used to wear a sherwani and a black cap. Once the students reported that a Muslim girl had danced to a film song in a school program, he said, "If she was my daughter, I would tear her apart." Once he called me to the headmaster's room. He asked me about my father. He saw my broad forehead and curly hair and said that one day I will definitely progress. Today, the words of Majid Sahib and other teachers proved true that our teachers were primary school teachers and today we have got the opportunity to teach in colleges and serve in good government jobs. Our strong foundations have been laid.

Our Urdu teacher was Mirza Askari Hussain Askar. Those who belonged to Bodhan came to school for the first time when I was in third grade. He saw the names of all the students in the register and after seeing my name asked what is your father's name, I replied Mohammad Ayub Faroqui he said that he knows father very well and is also his friend. He asked the names of the students in the class and at the end telling his name, he said that Nacheez is called Mirza Askari Hussain Askar and said that if the nickname is asked, one should put Nacheez before his name.This was the humble way of describing ourself. He taught me and other students well in Urdu, as a result of his teachings today we are doing well in Urdu literature, and I have reached the position of associate professor of Urdu. Askari Sahib is not among us, we pray to Allah to forgive him (Ameen) We also had a master of Hindi and Gujarati Mr. Akbar Ali Damani Sahib who used to teach Gujarati to some school children and used to teach us Hindi what I know  Hindi today, It is thanks to him that he used to teach something in the congregation room. He was very principled person and used to say that you should study hard, otherwise you will cry tears of blood or you will be selling on road, and indeed I saw that some of our companions who did not take interest in studies were seen on roads.

Among the female teachers of the school, my popular teacher has been Ms. Maimuna. Who was Shakir Deri's mother. Her husband Abdul Shukoor Manzar was a good poet. His brother Aslam Sahib was the owner of Jubilee Hotel and his daughters Asma Aasima Seema and Azra etc. were also involved in vocational education. Maimunah teacher used to remember our aunt Abida teacher often and used to treat me well in school. Once my hair was disheveled, she combed my hair with her hand. She was very sincere. Since Abida teacher had moved to Karachi Pakistan. One of her sisters was also in Karachi, so she would often ask me about the situation there and if any letter or letter came from there, she would hand it over to me. We used to go to her house for tuition. Later, whenever I used to go to Nizamabad, I used to visit her house, she used to talk sincerely and repeat the old things. She passed away a few years ago. Habiba teacher was our biology teacher. She was a relative of Askari Sahib. And she was quiet. Mrs. Iqbal teacher taught us social studies. Her son Razi is a physics lecturer and now principal of Dharpally junior college. Iqbal teacher used to take tweezers to the children. She used to pay attention to the good hand writing and used to see the fair copy. Nikhat Teacher was also a popular teacher of Aga Khan School in our time. She used to come with roses in her hair and was a good speaker . She was also tough and used to teach social studies and science. She gave good speeches on various occasions. Some teachers joined in the school and left but these teachers were our teachers whose grace training made me and countless students invaluable diamonds. .Mr. Pashabhai used to perform the duty of a peon in Aga Khan school, at that time he also got married and came to the school wearing a sahra to receive felicitations. Pashabhai used to attend each class twice a day with a copy in which the students' daily attendance was recorded. Sometimes he would come with the notice register and there would be a wave of happiness among the students that maybe tomorrow is a holiday. The school announces once a year that the DEO is going to inspect the school. Everyone should attend the school and keep their work complete. Special attention was given to cleanliness and other matters in the school. Mr. Yaqub Sarosh Sahib was also the District Educational Officer of Nizamabad. Aga Khan School used to celebrate the birthday of Prince Karim Aga Khan once a year. The thing was that the students were given cake on their return. Prizes were given to those who succeeded in written oratory competitions. My classmate was Aslam Lohia who studied with me almost till PG. In the class there were students from the Kachi community, there was a friend named Salim whose brother was Ilyas and others. Salim was very fond of watching movies during that time, when Amitabh Bachchan and other films were popular. We used to see the posters of the films Sholay, Dewar, Naseeb etc. Saleem used to narrate his story to us after watching the movie. He was an expert in Kabaddi game. Jabbar Sahib often used to take us to play Kabaddi on the ground behind the school where the police station is now. I was ahead in reading but used to participate in Kabaddi. Once Jabbar Sahib forced me to participate in the Collector Ground Independence Day Parade. He used to call me a bookworm who was ahead in reading and zero in sports. Salim's stories were such that very soon he completed a century of films. While no one went to watch films in our house. We were once shown a children's film called Char Doost from school. This is my theater experience. Later, some people from Phulang played an Islamic film Labbaik in Mohan Talkies which I watched. Thus through Salim we got to hear stories of many Hindi movies. There were two Siddiques in our class one was Lambu Siddique who was a kabaddi expert Chhota Siddique belonged to a merchant family of Ganj. There used to be many girls named Rashida among the Kachis. In our class, there were four Rashidas and we named them as Lumbi, Gori, Moti, etc. to identify them. Among the other companions of the class room were Asim bin Masood, Qadir, Ashraf, Farooq, Nadeem, Nizam, Hidayat, Younis, Mujahid, Quddus, etc. Quddus was my cousin brother who drowned while swimming in the big canal. I had an education in a co educated school but we barely talked to a girl in seven years. Once during the lunch break a girl tried to talk to me to ask for a  fair copy but I didn't answer her, call it childhood forgetfulness or we people of Sharafat were sincier in this matter.

Exams in school used to be very tough and we used to write the exam by memorizing the answers. One year it happened that question papers were started leaking out of a school in Phulang. I used to get a question paper which I used to give to my friends and the same paper appeared in the exam the next day. Knowing the questions in advance was something else. When we were in 7th standard, we were scared that there is a board exam and the center will be in another school. In the farewell party, we were forced to cry that we were leaving the school. The fear of the board exam was such that students got a chance to copy in the class room. As myself and other colleagues used to remember the answers, we scored well in the exam even without copying. Outside help came in handy for the math exam. When the results came out, it was a sad occasion for me that Saleem who watched the movies came first by three marks and I came second due to his good writing. However, after leaving Aga Khan School, we all joined Qila High School in the 8th standard. There are memories of the Aga Khan School that lasted until the middle of the seventh year of 1981. Every year, many meritorious students come out of the school and make a name for their parents and teachers in the country and abroad. The three children of Mr. Yaqub Sahib are an important link in the cultural and social life of Nizamabad. Mujeeb Sahib has established many educational institutions in the name of Knowledge Park and Crescent School and is educating people with the training of his father. Later, Aga Khan School became a high school under the name of Golden Jubilee School. The students of the latter batch reached the school under the Old Boys to celebrate with their teachers and also reminded other students to pay tribute to their childhood teachers. This article of mine is also a tribute to my teachers who laid a strong foundation for my education. And today I have been able to do something for the promotion of Urdu language and literature. When my connection with Nizamabad was established once again at Girraj College, I invited Mr. Aziz Sahib to give a lecture at Giriraj College and introduced him to the current students as my childhood teacher. Jalsa Tehinat of Mr. Mazhar Farooqui Sahib was also celebrated in Nizamabad by old students. Mr. Aziz Mr. Majid Mr. Mazhar Mrs. Iqbal Teacher and Nikhat Teacher are still with us. And the prayers of students are with them.Most of the teachers don't remember many students but I am lucky that these teachers know me well and have appreciated my activities during my stay in Nizamabad for six years. Be it the Aga Khan School or any other school, the students who have progressed in the field of teaching and learning to write their impressions reliving their childhood memories will pay tribute to their teachers.

 

High school

 

In 1982, after passing the 7th standard exams in first divistion from Aga Khan School, I was admitted to the local government high school popularly known as Qila High School. My brother and other family members also studied in this school. At that time there was also a private school in Dharugli called Fakhare Millat School and some of our primary school mates joined there but it was not customary to teach in private school for my fmily. So I got admission in government school. In the 8th grade, our teachers were Mr. Qadir Sahib, Najamuddin Sahib, Moiz Sahib Ghafar Sahib Sri Ramlu Sahib and Shameem Madam. Qadir saghab used to teach accounting. Najamuddin used to teach physics, Muaz used to teach Urdu and Ramlu used to teach English, while Shameem madam used to teach biology. There was no special education in eighth and ninth. Government schools sometimes the teacher was absent, often the students were absent. The school hours were from eight in the morning to half past twelve. I used to go to Qila school on my brother's old hero cycle, which was about two kilometers away. The school was near the fort, the fort pond and grounds where our colleagues often played kabaddi, there was a sugarcane factory nearby and during the sugarcane season, our colleagues stole sugarcane from the bundies and sat behind the school near the fort pond and the jail. They used to eat sugarcane. Qadir Sahib Moiz Sahib used to forbid children that they should not eat stolen sugercane. But in childhood Satan dominated the minds of school going students. Among my classmates were Asif Azmat, Aslam Lohia, Siddique, Sohail Parvez,Sajjad,Faheem and Azam etc. In those times, to succeed in SSC was a challenge for every student. In SSC, special attention was given to studies. Throughout the year, My self Asif and Azmat had mathematics tution at Qadir Sahib's house three to four PM in the afternoon. For some time, we studied physical science at Mr. Najamuddin Sahib's house. When Shameem Medium used to teach in the class, the students used to call her Zulf e Muqtasar due to shortness of her hairs. To prepare for the exams, we used to study together in the house of Asif Azmat in Dharo Galli every night. Najamuddin Sahib used to come to us on exam days and prepare us. SSC examination center was at Boys High School Khalilwadi. Preliminary exams went well, science and maths exams went well and when the exam results came out, all the students of the class were placed in Withheld. It was found that some of our papers were missing and the result came after 15 days and it was found that with 392 marks I was topper not only in the class but also among Urdu medium students of Nizamabad. I remember Akhtri Mami in our house. On arrival, I was garlanded with flowers and a box of Sweet Gulab Jamun was gifted to me. Two days before the result, my elder brother, who was staying in Hyderabad, went to Board of Secondary School’s office at Nampally Hyderabad to enquire about my result and  he telegraphed that I passed in first division. SIO in Nizamabad gave cash prizes to the successful students, perhaps for the first time I got a hundred rupees as a prize. Among my colleagues, Aslam Lohia, Asif, Azam, Azam, Rahman, all of them were first or second in the exam. Aslam Lohia is currently a prominent lawyer in Nizamabad while Azam studied MCA and is now holding a good position in America. Azmat got a job in the court, while Asif served in Anwar Uloom College for some time, among other colleagues in Saudi Arabia, Nizamuddin, Asim bin Masood, Arif, Qadir, Faheem Sajjad etc. progressed in different fields of life. I was in charge of the house during my stay in high school in Nizamabad. Bhai shifted to Hyderabad for studies. It was my responsibility to bring the daily items to the house.Every month grains were brought from Jamshed uncle's shop. Once a month, wood was brought from a wooden pallet for cooking in the house for thirty rupees per quintal. Daily items were purchased from Ejaz Sahib's shop in the locality. There was financial hardship at home. Sometimes mother borrows money from Zahida phuphu. Sometimes we borrowed for  clothes and sometimes from Ijaz Sahib's shop. I was fond of cricket apart from listening to commentary on the radio. I used to watch matches on television and programs on VCR at Nani's house later. As said, I had little interest in sports and the teachers used to call me a bookworm. Daily reading newspapers in the local Jamaat-e-Islami library, reading Risala Noor and later reading Ibn Safi's novels and Risala Chahar Rang Hazar Rang. It was part of life. I used to go to the library of Nizamabad, where people used to read newspapers and books from morning to evening. My elder sister was a member of this library and once or twice a week I was asked to exchange novels. Special marks were placed on the novel that were already read. Iffat Mohani Razia Butt's novels were widely read in those days. Tilak Garden was called Bagh e Aam. Often we used to go there for entertainment. In the evening there was regional news in Urdu on the radio on speakers. People listened to the news in the garden. They used to sit and listen. The Walima celebrations of my uncles Yakub Ali and Imtiaz Ali were also held with great fanfare in the Town Hall located in Tilak Garden and with these memories I moved to Hyderabad after completing SSC.

Intermediate Study and Hifze Quran

 

Hafiz Irfan Ahmed was the imam of the Madina Masjid of Phulong street in Nizamabad and later of the Masjid of Upar Tekri. He was a well-known personality of Nizamabad. Apart from Imamat, he also performed Nikah Khwani in marriages and performed ghusl duties when someone died. He probably talked to my father that he was starting a deeni madrasa to teach Hifze Qur'an. And he encouraged my father to enroll me in his madrassa for memorization of the Holy Quran. In our family, Hafiz Irshad Sahib, the son of Ikram Ali uncle, whom we called Hafiz Khalid, was a Hafiz of the Quran and a Qari. The family members knew that Hafiz Qur'an has a great status, he becomes a source of forgiveness for seven families in the Day of Judgment and Hafiz Qur'an also makes great progress in this world. My elder brother was a high school student. It was decided in my favor that I should be admitted to Irfan Sahib's madarsa for my Hifze Quran education. One day I was playing with Khalid at my uncle's house when my elder brother called me and took me to Madina Masjid of Phulang for the inauguration of my Hifze Quran Education. After some days, the Madrasa went to Irfan Sahib's house, then in Madrasa Huffaz Nizamabad Madrasa, under the supervision of Irfan Sahib and other teachers, my memorization and high school education continued. I used to study in Qila High School, two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening the Hifze Quran education continued till my stay in Nizamabad. I Used the grand mother Hafizi Quran of  15-line for memorization of Kalam Majeed, it was said that if you devote yourself to complete memorization, you will memorize quickly. Mr. Hussain's son Abid Hussain, the teacher's son, also used to study with me. Irfan Sahib's brother-in-law had a madrasa in Suryapet. Abid Hussain moved there for permanent memorization education. After my SSC education, when I moved to Hyderabad and completed my intermediate education, due to my stay in Mallepally, I studied for some time in the memorization department of Mallepally Masjid, there under Mr. Hafiz Sheikh Ahmed Sahib and Hafiz Shaukat Sahib. I started the Quran education. When we moved to a rented house in Meraj Colony, my memorization education was completed under the supervision of Maulana Jamalur Rahman Sahib in Madrasah Rauztu Uloom located in Meraj Colony. This Madrasa was started by Mr. Abid Khan Sahib for the education of his children Saad Sayeed and daughters. Maulana Jamalur Rehman used to teach in Madrasa of Mukthal, he was specially brought to Hyderabad. And now this Madrasa is functioning as a branch of Madrasa Darul Uloom Hyderabad of Aqil Sahib. The foundation stone of this madarsa was laid by the hands of Sheikh Abdullah Subayyal Imam Kaaba. I visited religious madrasas of North India with his teacher.And visited Mazahir Uloom Saharanpur, Darul Uloom Deoband and other Madrasahs. Among my teachers of Meraj Colony were Maulana Abdul Malik Sahib, Maulana Ubaidullah Sahib Maulana Abdul Ghani Sahib and other teachers. Musa Khan Itrat, Abdul Razzaq Sahib, Haji were among the memorizing companions. Wasi Madani Khalid and other friends were included. Musa Khan is now the Khateeb and imam of the Bilal Masjid of Toli Chowki and is a follower of Maulana Jamalur Rehman Sahib. After completing the education of memorization, perhaps for the purpose of revision of Hifze Quran, in 1988, I stayed for some time in the city of Hazrat Shah Abrarul Haq Sahib Damat Barakathahum, in his famous Deeni Madrasa, Ashraf Ul Madaris Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, and studied Tajweed Quran there.On this occasion, I also got the opportunity to benefit from the academic meetings of Hazrat Shah Abrarul Haq. Some time after admission there, my health condition deteriorated and it was found that I have kidney stones. The teachers advised me to go home and get treatment, so I came back to Hyderabad from Hardoi. But I feel that in the whole world, the position of Hardoi Madrasa is the best in reciting the Quran in correct way. There, the Quran is taught with the subtleties of Tajweed. In this famous institution, the graduates of Deoband also enroll for correcting the Quran.

After moving from Nizamabad to Hyderabad, on the advice of my father that a religious madarsa student should also acquire worldly studies, I got admission in Boys Government College Nampally in Bazar Gard. The brother was staying at bade chacha’s house. I also stayed at my uncle's house for a few months. Distances are longer in Hyderabad. Had to go to college by bus. A bus pass was was created. Route pass Nampally to Toli Chowki college timings were from 12 to 5 pm one special thing I got admission in English medium MPC. My brother and family wanted me to become an engineer while my brother is becoming a doctor. But MPC and English medium was difficult for me. My classmates were Hanif Bhai and others. Sometimes I used to come from Nampally to Toli Chowki on his bicycle. My local friend Shahryar was also doing CEC from the same college. We used to travel in 166 bus. It used to be. Playing cricket in the field of Miraj Colony in the evening and studying after Maghrib and relaxing by eating after Isha were the routines of life. Among Inter's teammates, Irfan is currently in America, while Mehtab sahab neighbor's son Ahmed is currently in Australia. Iqbal Sahib used to be a painter in front of my uncle's house. His son Himayat was a good cricketer. He passed away recently. In the neighborhood, Zafar Sohail Yusuf Shehryar, Ashfaq and other friends used to play cricket. There were special matches every evening. Ramadan used to come in summer. We spent a lot of time in the mosque during Ramadan. We used to have Iftar and Suhr at uncle's house. There was a good atmosphere in the mosque and the neighborhood. Due to which I had a good and memorable time during my college days in Hyderabad. Thus ended my Inter journey. Later I gave up science and joined BA Evening College.

Degree and Higher Education

 

The completion of Intermediate, and Hifze Quran I visited to Hardoi Uttar Pradesh for revision of my Hifze Quran. I had no interest in science education through English medium. In SSC, when I got more marks in social science, Urdu and English, my father's friend Mr. Shutari said that Aslam is interested in arts, he should pursue arts. Shutari's words proved to be true. Due to the study of books and newspapers and proficiency in social studies and Urdu language, I got admission in the Oriental College of Osmania University, Vijayanagar Colony. BA Oriental had History and English subjects apart from Urdu subjects. The teachers of the college included Principal Hashim Hasan Saeed, Aziz Abrar, Dr. Fatima Asif, Dr. Sayeeda Khatoon, Dr. Iqbal Begum. Girls also studied in the college, classes were held in the evening hours. I was a bit shy to attend classes where girl students were also there, so for the first year I skipped first year BA classes. Later I showed interest in studies and passed first class in all three years. I started tutions during my degree. My first job was a home tution of Anwar and Asrar, two boys living in Meraj Colony. They were studying in small class. Their parents hired me to teach them. At that time, they used to give Rs.60 per month to me as tution fee. In evening,I used to teach Arabic and Urdu to the children of Mr Khaleel Sahaeb the electrical department employee at Toli Chowki, where I taught Arabic and Urdu to his daughters Humaira and Afshan and Sons Sohail and Aqeel who were studying in English medium St. Anne's School. I taught them  for two to three years. The children were intelligent and started reading Urdu newspapers, Humaira and Aqeel are currently in America. I had a luna vehicle left by my brother, On with which I used to travel around the Toli Chowki and the surrounding areas. After studying Arabic, after Fajr, I used to teach Arabic to the poor children of the neighborhood in Sabahiya Madrasa in the mosque of Hakeem Pet Kunta. The salary was two hundred rupees per month. At that time, a cup of tea was two rupees and petrol was probably 30 rupees a liter. However, the journey of life continued. After completing my degree, I wrote the B.Ed exam with the desire to become a government teacher. English was good thanks to my love of listening to cricket commentary since childhood. The B.Ed paper came in English, social studies answers were well written and my rank was around 5000 in the entire state. People said that this is a good rank, I can get admission in any government B.Ed college. My father Mr. Ayub Farooqui said that there is no rush at home in terms of your studies and employment. If you get a job after B.Ed, you will remain a teacher and if you get a job after MA, you will become a lecturer. Dad also took admission in MA Urdu from Osmania University after giving up his MBBS studies during his student days. At that time, his colleagues included Prof. Syeda Jafar and Dr. Ashraf Rafi.And Masood Hussain Khan was the head of the Urdu Department. My father could not do MA in Urdu. He wanted me to do MA in Urdu. At the end of my degree final year, I participated in literary competitions in the Urdu Festival organized by the University of Hyderabad. I got a chance to participate in the essay writing competitions. The title of the humorous essay competition was "Hyderabad Nagina Under Matti Upar Chuna" I expressed my own opinion on this topic and seeing the result, I was surprised that I was selected for the first prize.The prize distribution function was held at Press Club Hyderabad opposite to  Nizam College. And I was given a heavy rolling shield. Rolling shield means that we have to keep this shield in our college for one year and return it later. The pictures with this shield was the most memorable moment of my life. In the prize ceremony, Head of the Urdu Department, Prof. Sayeda Jafar Sahiba addressed the young students and said that you should enroll in the Urdu Department of the University of Hyderabad. There are possibilities for progress. On the advice of my father, I wrote the entrance exam for MA Urdu exams of University of Hyderabad and Osmania University. And topped both the exams. However, University of Hyderabad is nearer to our home from Toli Chowki so I preferred admission here. The admission process was completed and I got the admission in a prestigeious central University with A plas NAAC grade. The admission of a religious educated graduate in a central university was of significance. For the first class, when I was passing through the lawn of the Urdu department, a professor of Urdu Departement who was going on a scooter, respected Professor Mujawar Hussain Rizvi, saw me, got out of the scooter, welcomed me and immediately called me to the class. Among my teachers in the Department of Urdu University of Hyderabad were Prof. Samina Shaukat, Dr. Muhammad Anwaruddin, Dr. Rehmat Yousafzai, Dr. Habib Nisar and Dr. Mir Mehboob Hussain. In addition to history of Urdu literature, Urdu novels, Urdu fiction, Deccani poetry, classical and modern poetry, Premchand and other writers were taught in MA Urdu. Dr. Mohammad Anwaruddin taught Research and Criticism and Journalism, Dr. Rehmat Yousafzai taught Masnavi, while Prof. Syeda Jafar taught Marsiya and Urdu Poetry. We used to attend classes till three in the afternoon and then go to the Indira Gandhi Library of the University after eating Tarkari Biriyani or Dosha etc at the low cost university canteen. We used to come to the university bust stop where the 216U bus of RTC would come and we would come home in the evening. Along with me, I used to have heavy Urdu books from the university library, which my family and local people would be happy to see that I am doing MA from the university. The university had a semester system and after four semesters I was at the top of the class when the MA results came out. In the first year, the merit scholarship used to receive three hundred rupees per month, which continued in the second year as well. These three hundred rupees used to be deposited in the bank account of the university. The bank passbook was there from which we used to withdraw money as needed and run our expenses. Bus pass and some personal expenses. At that time, the idea was to collect money and bring some goods for home. There were no chairs to sit in the house and no big dining tables to eat. While in the house of bade chacha and Faheem chacha, two taqts wooden carts were purchased by me for hall. I saved money from the university scholarship and bought two taqts, which cost twelve hundred rupees. Similarly, bought cane chairs, six chairs and a glass table for eighteen hundred rupees at that time. Whatever I bought, I did not inform the family in advance. The family would be happy if something came for the house suddenly. Cane chairs were placed in the living room. Grandmother, mother, father and family members were delighted to see this sudden and precious gift,they pray for me. These chairs were used in our Meraj Colony home for almost thirty years. Two of the chairs I used at work and the remaining four are still in use today and remind me of my student days when I used to save money for scholarships and teaching Arabic to buy things. From the Department of Urdu, University of Hyderabad, I along with my colleagues represented the university in the literary competitions of Jamia Osmania. Similarly, I performed the duties of General Convener along with my colleague Gul e Rana in the seminar organized by the Urdu Department. At the same time, I participated in Urdu Yuwa Vani programs from All India Radio Hyderabad. In addition to the presentation of Haraf e Tabinda, sports round-up, there was an opportunity to participate in thematic discussions. All India Radio was a central government institution and I felt happy if the contract letter came home officially. Whenever I participated in the program, I would get a check of one hundred and fifty rupees at the time of return. After MA immediately got admission in MPhil. Professor Mohammad Anwaruddin Saheb wanted me very much.He suggested that I should also do M.Phil. At that time my age was around twenty-four years, now it was gradually being made to feel that one should worry about employment and at that time, the future was bleak for a student studying in Urdu. . Getting a job was difficult doing only MA in Urdu. Classes were held for six months in MPhil. In which textual criticism and research methods were taught. And after the exam the research work started. When it came to the topic selection stage, I had no idea what a research dissertation is and how to write it, but by that time I was used to writing articles in newspapers. Dr. Rehmat Yousafzai asked the clerk of the Urdu Department, Basalat Sahiba, to bring the register of the former students enrolled in the department and the topics given to them and saw that someone had worked on a topic "Critical Review of Aziz Ahmed's Novels". I was asked if I would do this work. Since I had read Ibn Safi's novels and was more interested in prose than in poetry, I filled in support to work on this subject. When it came to the stage of searching for books, I searched all the libraries in Hyderabad, but all the novels of Aziz Ahmed were not available to me, especially his novel Shabnam. Professor Sulaiman Athar Javed wrote a short book Aziz Ahmed's Novels in which he reviewed six novels. When I went to Nizamabad for some work, I went to the local library, Bapuji Vachanalia, and with the reference of uncle Azhar Farooqui and father's friend Kazim Ali Khan, who were members of that library, I got library register. When I searched for the novels of Azeez Ahmed, I found other novels of Aziz Ahmed including Shabnam and an anonymous novel Bure Log from this library. I kept a few hundred rupees there as a cash deposit and I came to Hyderabad with the required novels. And seriously I started writing critical reviews of these novels. I used to write one chapter at a time and show it to my supervisor Dr. Muhammad Anwaruddin Sahib. After correcting minor mistakes, my chapters were corrected. Until then, there was no trend of computer typing. A young Hafiz of the Qur'an, who wrote Urdu very well, started to proofread fair writing my dissertation for two rupees per page. And slowly my MPhil dissertation was completed. After admission in the university I succeeded in MPhil with Distinction. Among my colleagues in MPhil were Mr. Jalal Sahib, Mr. Mehmood Sahib, Gul e Raana Narjis Gulnar and some others. At the end of the course we organized a farewell lunch party for the teachers. Dishes were prepared and brought from home. I asked my mother to make methi chicken curry which was liked by everyone including Professor Syeda Jafar. Among our seniors were Nikhat Ara Shaheen, Mr. Tanveer Sahib, Zakirullah Ferdowsi and others. There was also a magazine published by the Urdu Department, in which our articles were published. Whoever studied from the University of Hyderabad later developed something which I always felt.

Students union elections used to be held in the University of Hyderabad. In which the students used to participate with enthusiasm. Every year there was an annual meeting of the students in the name of Sukoon. Once the Sukoon was held at Seven Tombs of Hyderabad. There was a colorful program at night. I also won prizes in essay writing competitions. On the occasion of Quli Qutb Shah Day, the first prize was won in the  essay writing competition held at the Idara e Adabiyat e Urdu Panjagutta Hyderabad, in which books of Urdu literature were awarded first prize by Hashim Ali Akhtar, the vice chancellor of Osmania University. In the writing competition organized by CCM in Anwar Uloom Junior College, Nampally, I won three hundred dollars as the first prize. I participated in the PhD entrance exam of the University of Hyderabad and after passing the exam I got admission in PhD in 1996 but I did not get any scholarship. At that time the JRF examination was the means of obtaining scholarships. UGC used to conduct this exam twice a year, the first paper was in English and the second and third papers were in Urdu. Failed in exam thrice 4th time passed NET exam at UGC and state level which certificate said that I am eligible for university and college lectureship. In search of employment, the matter of PhD remained incomplete. Dr. Rehmat Yousafzai was appointed as my supervisor. He used to tell me how many books I have read. When there was no progress from his side, I gave up the Ph.D.

My friend Javed Mohiuddin who did MPhil did not show any signs of employment despite doing MPhil. Once while traveling in a bus, he said that he was doing Urdu Pandit course from B.Ed College located at Mansab Tank, at that time it came to know that Urdu Pandit is an Urdu training course similar to B.Ed. can be admitted without entrance. And I started doing Urdu Pandit after MPhil where the same teacher Ms. Qamar Jahan was teaching who was known to have a crush on bearded people and people from Nizamabad because her husband was from Nizamabad. She was divorced from her husband,But during the training of Urdu Pandit, she was impressed by my presentations and response. During the course, boys and girls used to visit the canteen for lunch. Sajid Hafeez, Zulfiqar, Ashfaq were my classmates, there were some girls who belonged to Mehboob Nagar and Medak. Most of them get government jobs. I passed urdu pandit exam from 2nd level and now we are waiting for urdu dsc exam like other unemployed youths.

From the University of Hyderabad, I took admission for doing my PhD again in 2002. My guide  Prof. Muhammad Anwaruddin showed personal interest and made me participate in the entrance exam and I got admission again for PhD course. This time he took me to Professor Mughni Tabasam's house and introduced me to Mughni Sahib that he is a hardworking student and has done a good job in MPhil. Mughni Sahib first advised him to work on the literary magazines of Hyderabad, later he said that his brother-in-law and the husband of his sister Siddiqa Shabnam, who lives in London, Abdul Qadir Habib Hyderabadi, has good services for the promotion of Urdu in Britain. The book of Inglistan Mein 'Rah Wo Rasam e Ashanai and Parliament of Great Britain etc. is well known. For this he provided Habib Hyderabadi's books and articles written on him and other research materials from his personal library. I collected the life details of Habib Hyderabadi from the libraries of Hyderabad and from internet and completed my PhD thesis in the minimum time of two years. My supervisor was Dr. Muhammad Anwaruddin Sahib who gave me research work freedom. After the submission of the thesis, when I had my oral examination, Prof. Baig Ehsaas, Dr. Naseemuddin Farees and Dr. Habib Nisar were the faculty of Urdu department at that time. I had the opportunity to receive my PhD certificate in the presence of my mother Qamarunnisa Begum Sahiba and niece Humira Firdous in the presence of Venkat Chalia Chief Justice of Supreme Court and others at the certificate university convocation held at Hitex Hall. This was the culmination of my educational journey, otherwise every day of human life would have been a lesson for him. They continue to teach life lessons. My educational journey was through Urdu medium from beginning to end but my passion for English never failed me in the competitive exams of the time.

Marriage

Marriage is a beautiful turning point in any person's life. A philosopher  said that a person is complete after marriage only. You can say that my marriage was delayed by two years. That is, I got married at the age of twenty-eight. When the MA and MPhil and Urdu Pandit were completed and the postman brought home the success letter in the NET Lectureship Eligibility Test sent by the UGC, there was a wave of joy in the family that today If not, you will get a job tomorrow. Most of the time young people fall in love with some girls during their studies or they plan on what kind of girl to marry because it is about choosing a spouse and lifelong partner. There is no love affair with me. From the point of view of external identity, I am a madarsa-educated, bearded, cap-wearing young man who wears Kurta pajama and topi. Perhaps no girl would expect me to be in love. In university campus life there wer classmates and they were either older or not beautiful enough to be a spouse. During Urdu Pandit, I thought about a serious girl to talk to her , but the next day when the girl started showing her engagement photos to her friends, it turned out that the spark of love was extinguished before it ignited. In the house, elder brothers and sisters started mentioning that now I should get married. Grandmother said that getting married opens up livelihood. An aunt and elder brother of the family pointed towards the daughter of father's maternal uncle Ikram Sahib. He was invited to our home. He was my grandmother's brother. Uncle Ikram used to meet my father Ayub Farooqui with great respect. When we asked about his daughter's relationship, Uncle Ikram immediately said yes. He was very happy to see my MPhil thesis in his hands. Till that time I had no particular job. However, the date of the engagement ceremony was fixed and all of us went to Ikram Mamu's house and performed the ceremony. And my relationship was settled with Ikram uncle's daughter Azra. About my future spouse, Saeeda aunty told my father that your future daughter-in-law is very beautiful, well-mannered and fond of poetry. A few months after the engagement, my marriage was fixed on 15th November 1996. There were no demands from our side for the marriage. My uncle Syed Wahid Ali Wahid from Bombay gave me a loan of fifteen thousand in lump sum to be used for the wedding expenses. In the wedding expenses, the girl's family spent eighty thousand and we spent sixty five thousand and the wedding ceremony took place. In my marriage ceremony, the eminent personality of Tablighi Jamaat of our neighborhood Mr. Abid Khan sahib deliverd speech and the Ameer of Tablighi Jamaat Mr. Naeem ullah Khan Sahib prayed.All the friends and teachers of the family attended the function.  Dr. Anwaruddin Sahib, Dr. Rahmat Yusufzai Sahib, Mr. Moin Sahib University of Hyderabad, Dr. Habib Nisar Sahib and friends. The marriage ceremony was held at Mehdi Patnam Mosque. Tea biscuits were arranged for friends in the nearby community hall. And later on dinner was arranged for the family members. The Valima ceremony was held at Toli Chowki. My wife turned out to be lucky for me, because on the second day of the engagement, I got a job as an Urdu teacher in Leading high school, Golconda, and on the day of my marriage, I filled the form of Junior Lecturer Urdu. And after a year I got a job as a junior lecturer. A few months after marriage I had to go to Nagar Kurnool with my wife for work then after seven years after transfer Sangaredy from there after six years to Nizamabad and then we moved to Hyderabad. After two and a half years of marriage, the first boy Aqdas Farooqi Maaz was born. Two years later, a second son, Faraz, four years later, a third son, Saad, and after returning from Hajj Baitullah, a daughter, Umima, was born. The wife played an important role in taking care of the house, household affairs and organizing gatherings in the house and fulfilling the needs of the children. The children are grown up now. And my wife realizes that she have served a lot to the family and now they should get some rest, so the elder boy was married early. Daughter-in-law Azkia is the daughter of Mr. Aslam Nazir Sahib, Principal Residential School. Eldest son has done Physiotherapy course from Apollo Medical College. Faraz is doing MBA after B.Com and specializes in video editing. The third son, Saad, has studied up to 10th standard and is completing the Hifz e Quran. Umaima is studying in 8th standard. The journey of life continues and this is the only prayer to Allah that the life ends with health and well-being while sticking to faith and the children keep their family names bright.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Job

                                                                                                    

All my education was from Urdu medium. As said, after BA, I continued my higher studies from University of Hyderabad and completed my MA,M Phil and Ph.D from this prestigious university. This was the hope from Allah to get a good job. My father was an employment officer. Elder brother and his wife were also junior medical officers and assistant professors and professors. Father, elder brother and his wife were holding gazetted posts. The family had no inclination and experience in trade. I had made a passport to go abroad because the tendency to go abroad was common at that time, but I was educated in madarsa and later in Urdu. The effort was to arrange some employment here. People suggested that at that time Basheeruddin Babu Khan was the education minister in the Telugu Desam government. My uncle Imtiaz Ali's friend Abdullah Kausar Sahib was a friend of Babu Khan Sahib currently residing in America. I went to Nizamabad to meet him and try to get some temporary employment. There was no significant success. In Nizamabad's Anwar Uloom College, an application for an Urdu lecturer was also made, but no results were obtained. In Anwar Uloom College of Hyderabad, Anwar Khan sahib the then college principal also spoke to the college administrators, but there was no significant result. Some of the tution and Arabic classes used to cover the petrol costs. As said after MPhil I did urdu pandit training and trained candidates were waiting for dsc. Meanwhile, he got a job as a clerk in Mr. Abdul Sattar Mujahid Sahib's school in Hakeempet. He was paying eight hundred to one thousand rupees for the work of collection of fee. After a few months of work as mentioned on the second day of my engagement I got a personal job as an Urdu teacher at Mr. Jilani Sahib's Leading school in Golconda. The salary was twelve hundred rupees. But in Jilani Sahib's school I got good work experience of  how to keep students under control, Use of board, Words meaning Reading aloud to students Giving them homework etc. I was travelling on myLuna vehicle and used to go to school. In those days, I got married on November 15, 1996. After working in a leading school and after marriage, I got a job as a sub-editor in the evenings, first in Hamara Awam and later in the Siasat daily. I had no special experience in working in a newspaper. But our friends said that those who have good English and Urdu can work as sub-editor and Mr. KM Arifuddin Sahib Madina Center Nampally has launched a new newspaper Hamara Awam there is a need for a sub-editor. One day I went there to give an interview. He said that English news should be translated into Urdu. I was given two or four slips from the printer and asked to translate them. My English knowledge was good from childhood reading English newspapers, listening to cricket commentary on the radio and reading magazines.I translated the press conference details in simple English in Urdu. Since the PhD was going on, writing Urdu was not a difficult task. Despite a few mistakes, when I showed the translation, the management was satisfied with my work. There was a manager named Abdul Samad. He said tha my duty timings in news paper office will be from 4 pm to 10 pm. I started this job because after marriage there was a requirement to increase the income because I was getting only twelve hundred from the Leading school. There, I had the opportunity to learn a lot about the layout and translation of news from Athar Moin-Ahsan Ali Akbar at the desk, and how to set news headlines and summarise.I also got the opportunity to learn from Senior Sub Editor Mr. Zahid Ali Khan and Yousufi Sahib Jameel Sahib. As I was interested in cricket and sports, I started translating sports news for the newspaper. After working for two or three months, my teacher respected Dr. Muhammad Anwaruddin advised me that many journalists are leaving the Siasat newspaper and going to Munsif newspaper. He introduced that I have done MPhil under his supervision and am working in Awam. Zaheer Sahib gave some slips of PTI UNI and asked me to translate. During working in Awam newspaper for a couple of months. The translation was fast and clean. When I translated, my work was checked by the Senior Sub-Editor Mr. Shahid Azim and he said in my favor that the work can be done. So I was hired on a monthly salary of three and a half thousand. It was a moment of joy for me that I got the opportunity to work as a sub-editor in the same newspaper which I had read in my life. I got the opportunity to work in Siasat office from 1997 to 1998. Mr. Shahid Azim, Mr. Khalid Qadri, Mr. Shaukat, Mr. Ahmed Kamal Ashraf and among the young sub-editors Irfan Jabri, Khalil Qadri, Mujahid, Shajiullah Firasat and others. I worked on the desk. I got the opportunity to translate national and international news and sports news of page three. It was Azharuddin's heydays and I used to select good pictures of Azharuddin and prepare reports of cricket matches. At that time, India had detonated the Pokhran nuclear bomb. Mr. Miraj Mirza would have been very happy to read the Bofors Report and the reports of various meetings of Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam's presidency in Urdu. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Mr. Aamir Ali Khan, and Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan were happy with my work. If any sub-editor was on leave in the newspaper, there was an opportunity to work overtime in his place. Those who worked overtime were paid two days' pay in cash on the second day. While working in Siasat, Mr. Aamir Ali Khan got married and all the employees were given a Sherwani cloth as a gift. At that time, there was a lot of talk about the Munsif. During tea time in the evening, there was a conversation about who was going to the Munsif and what was going on there. Meanwhile, I wrote the Special DSC Urdu Pandit exam non-locally from Hyderabad. Waiting for the result. Once after Maghrib Mr. Miraj Mirza sahib showed me a printed news and said that DSC result has been declared. He asked my roll number and congratulated me that my number was in selected candidates list. After the DSC exam, the interview was held at Hyderabad Collectorate. Collector Hyderabad Mr. Bhanwar Lal saw my educational qualification and said that you are over qualified for this post i.e. you are very qualified for urdu pandit post. So after counselling, I was given Urdu Pandit posting at Golconda High School till then I was employed in the Leading school. Mr. Ghulam Jilani, Director Leading School, congratulated me on getting a government job and advised me to leave the school. In 1997, I started working as an Urdu Pandit in Golconda High School. At that time, on the basis of Adhak, there was a monthly salary of twelve hundred and fifteen hundred for two years. But government job and that too four kilometers from home in Hyderabad. So I started my job. Mr. Azam Sahib was the headmaster of the school. Mr. Shafiullah Khan Mr. Rafi Mr. Zaheer Mr. Majid Mr. Shafi Mr Khursheed. and other teachers expressed their happiness I am a PhD scholar and I also work in Siysat newspaper in evening hours. At the same time, College Service Commission's Junior Lecturer's Urdu exam was also conducted, as said on the day of marriage, I filled the form of this exam. After some months of marriage this exam was written exam and 1000 candidates wrote the exam.Junior Lecturer Urdu had six posts and it was a happy moment for me that I was selected among eighteen candidates for six posts i.e.  for one post three candidates were called for interview,preference was givent to NET passed candidates. However, the interview was held in the building of Gurha Kalpa Nampally College Service Commission office at 2 o'clock on Friday in 1997. The Chairman Commission himself conducted the interview. Urdu subject expert was Professor Sulaiman Athar Javed. He knew me from the University of Hyderabad. Paani Mein aks dekh ke khush horaha tha main

The Chairman College Service Commission asked the meaning of this couplet in English and asked to write the couplet on the board and interpret it in English. I explained the meaning of this poem in English.They asked me if I would do the job  if I was posted in the districts, I said yes, I would definitely do it. The interview was done and a year passed while waiting for the result, some court case was overcome. On the other hand, there is a job in Golconda from morning to three o'clock and on the other hand a job in Siasat news paper from four o'clock in the evening to ten o'clock at night. There was also a new marriage and life started to go on like this. The streak of being on time on two jobs on Luna lasted a year. It was August 98. When I was working in Siasat, at 8 o'clock in the night, my friend Kaleem called me and said, "Congratulations, you have been selected as a junior lecturer in Urdu. Go to Warangal and get the posting order. My father-in-law Mr. Ikram Ali also advised me that Whoever joins first will get priority in seniority.So go to Warangal RJD office and get the job orders in person instead of waiting the post to come. In the morning, I left for Qazipet Warangala and from there I went to Warangal RJD office and got the job letter. On one hand, the joy of getting a job in a gazetted post, on the other hand, the sadness of missing Hyderabad. After reaching home in the evening with the letter, all my friends congratulated me. I asked my uncle where Nagarkarnool is. I had no idea. I called Zaheer Saheb of Siasat news paper that I have got a government job as a junior lecturer. I am leaving the job of Siasat. He expressed happiness and asked me to go. On the other hand, it was also reported that I have got a job as a junior lecturer in the government school Golconda. And I am leaving school. I prepared news for newspaper and personally delivered news to Siasat newspaper and other newspapers. Mr. Khalid Qadri, sub-editor in Siasat, and others congratulated and said that we will publish your job news on the last page with a color photo.

It was 20th  August 1998 when I joined for the post of Junior Lecturer Urdu as aGazetted Officer at Nagarkurnool. After a brief preparation, nervously I boarded a Kolhapur bus from the bus station which was said to go to Nagar Kurnool. Our bus journey was often towards Nizamabad Hyderabad. On the same national highway, the journey towards the south began. From Jadcharla, fifty kilometers to the left, after a three-hour bus journey, I reached Nagarkurnool bus station. As soon as I landed on the new land, I prayed for peace that I did not know how many years I had to stay in this town. I reached the college by asking the address of the college from the bus station. Dad had already written the joining report in English. Principal Mr. Vikramarka welcomed in the principal's chamber in the college. After submitting the joining report, the register was signed. Until then, there was no idea whether to use a green pin or a blue pin. As soon as I reached the staff room Mrs. Hajra Begum Lecturer History Telugu Medium welcomed me and said that Maulvi Sahib your picture has been published in the newspaper today. congratulations. Other college lecturers who were from Telugu medium welcomed. Along with me, Mr. Ajmal Khan, native of Bhainsa, subject of history, Urdu medium, Mr. Mehmood Ali, lecturer, political science, and Mrs. Ghazala Begum, native of Nizamabad, subject of economics, were also posted in this college. The reason for posting so far away from Nizamabad was later found out that during the Telugu Desam regime, the local member of assembly and Health Minister Dr. Nagam Janardhan Reddy had said in the Board of Intermediate that whenever there are appointments of lecturers, post them in Nagar Kurnool. A local Abu Chaush was serving as a temporary lecturer for the subject of Urdu. He seemed a little disappointed with my coming there. After reporting to the collegge in the morning, when I called my father-in-law Mr. Ikram Ali at the STD booth in front of the college that I have joined the job, the boy from the STD booth immediately stood up and greeted me saying that I have joined the job. He is also a student of Urdu medium of this college. When I went to the waqf complex mosque for Zuhr prayer, Mr. Khalil Sahib Abu Chaush and other local Muslims in the nearby hotel welcomed me and said that before you came, I heard about your arrival through the Siasat newspaper. The information has been received. The local junior college does not have regular lecturers to teach Urdu medium, your joining to this college will encourage the college kids. After working till evening I asked the local youth about the local population. One student Akhtar said that there is a new neighborhood called Rahat Nagar. There is a new mosque and there are rooms in the mosque. I offered Asr and Maghrib prayers in Rahat Nagar Colony mosque. My father-in-law, who was the main leader of Tablighi Jamaat, called Mr. Burhanuddin Sahib, the leader of Tablighi Jamaat of Nagar Kurnool, that his son-in-law had come to Nagar Kurnool regarding his job. Arrangements should be made for his stay. So a room was arranged for me in the rooms of the mosque. Since it was the first day of work and I had come to Nagarkurnool with only one bag to return home, I stayed at a lodge for the night. After eating at the hotel, Friday prayers were offered at Rahat Nagar Mosque on the second day. Mr. Yusuf Sahib Headmaster Mr. Kamal Sahib was introduced to the local school teachers and other friends, everyone expressed happiness. I returned home in the evening. Took leave on Saturday  and resigned from my Urdu Pandit job at Qila High School, After visiting Siasat office, I distrubuted sweets to everyone and resigned from my job there. And by Sunday prepared the necessary cooking equipment and bedding and on Monday once again returned to Nagarkurnool with the household items. It was the first self-cooking expirence after marriage.Small gas cylinder and some cooking utensils I bought locally. Anyway, I started working in junior college of Nagarkarnool, some boys and girls were studying in intermediate HEC group, my responsibility was to teach Urdu, as there was no English lecturer, so I used to explain English to the students there also, Mr. Ajmal. Khan, who was a history lecturer, was given the additional responsibility of teaching English to Telugu medium students by the principal. Mr. Mehmood Ali Sahib used to come from Mehboob Nagar. The initial days were difficult, self-cooking and being away from home. At that time, STD phone calling facility was available. For 5 to 10 rupees, you could talk for two or four minutes. However, the contact with the family was made through the same phone. After a month, the first salary was 5000. Local clerk said you are gazetted officer. Use green pin. Make a stamp. Many people will be coming for gazetted signature of you. So, as thanks to Allah's blessing, I immediately prepared a stamp with the post of Junior Lecturer Urdu and started serving people. Locals asked why are you living alone when you are married, shift your family and stay here joyfully. Achampet Srisalem is a town near Nagarkarnool which has now become a district. There was a shortage of fresh tap water. Borewell water was used for drinking and bathing. Till then there was no bottled water system. Water used to come in the tap every ten to fifteen minutes, which was filled for drinking. The room of the mosque was short. The imam of the mosque Mr. Hafiz Mehboob Ali was a young man. Ajmal Khan had also taken a room. After returning from college, we used to sit on the steps of the mosque and talk. We used to meet MRO Moinuddin sahab and others. Usman Sahib, an elder of the neighborhood, reached my room and spoke to me and said that he heard that you are going to shift your family, our house is vacant for rent. Come and see the house. I did not intend to move the family just yet, but it became clear that it was unlikely the transfers will happen before four or five years. So I saw the house with two large hallway-like rooms with a kitchen and a bathroom. Water had to be filled from a tap hole. I had no idea what a good local house was. The landlord asked the rent four hundred rupees. Went to Hyderabad and talked to the family. Our first child Aqdas Farooqi Maaz was born and he was five to six months old. My wife was ready to accompany me. Father and mother said ok, a new house will be settled. Our relative brother Mr. Javed Bhai managed the jeep for travelling. I shifted in to the rented house along with my mother with the necessary equipment. The daughters of Ibrahim Sahib, the muazzin of the mosque, did a great job. I called them home and introduced them to our family. The girls went home and told their mother that there was a young girl with Maulvi Sahib. They were referring to my wife who always wore a shirt and shalwar and was looing like an unmarried girl. My mother started getting introduction of the neighborhood from the very first day. Rural atmosphere, availability of fresh meat, milk, fruits, etc. made us fall in love with NagarKurnool. And we used to go to Hyderabad from Nagarkarnool on vacations, first staying at the in-laws in Millepally and then traveling to Meraj Colony. When I had free time in the evenings in Nagarkurnol, I used to write and compile articles, from there I wrote many articles for daily Siasat and by writing Nagarkurnol with the name, our area was also got fame. Ancient and valuable Urdu books were also found in the library of our college. Among them was a masterpiece book of The Battle fields of Prophet’s period by Dr. Hameedullah Sahib who was a famous scholar of Osmania University and he presented the case of Hyderabad State in the United Nations. I have published various chapters of this book with introduction in the special edition of daily Siasat. In the mosque of Nagarkarnool, we carried forward the work of the Tablighi Jamaat. Mr. Burhanuddin Sahib, who was called Advi Raja by the locals, means the king of the forest, was the Ameer of the Jamaat. He was eighty years old, but he used to come to the mosque due along with his brothers Mr. Naseeruddin Sahib and Mujeeb Sahib and others, we used to gather weekly. Meeting people and worrying about the population of the mosque. We participated in gatherings up to Gadwal Atma Kaur, Achampet, Kalwakarti and other areas. If there was a light environment in Ramadan, the number of worshipers would increase. There would be a special statement in the wakeful nights. In all these programs we used to mingle with the local people. There was also a pond in Nagarkarnool. If it dries up in summer, it would have a crop of watermelons. We visited the pond with guests from Hyderabad. Every year the Sita fruit was eaten to its full. Mangoes were also very sweet. In terms of our salary, the income was good, so there was plenty of food and drink. After two years there, he went to Hyderabad complaining of chest pain. On showing it to Dr. Omesh Chandra, he said it was a heart problem. The pills continued for three to four months, dieting and walking led to weight loss, but the chest pain did not subside. Once I was shown to Dr. Wasif Azam, after doing treadmill test and echo test, he said that you do not have heart problem but gas complaint, he stopped all the pills and prescribed acidity pills.After a month, Afiqah took place and Allah was thanked a million times for keeping him safe from heart disease at such a young age. An important function of the establishment of Nagarkarnool was that the Rahatnagar mosque had an open space on one side. To meet the expenses of the mosque, it was suggested that new rooms for rent should be built at this place. So I told my father-in-law that if anyone wants to invest money in the construction of a mosque, there is a job opportunity here. By chance, a lady arrived at his house in Hyderabad and she gave one lakh rupees to our father-in-law and asked him to invest this money in the construction of a mosque. Mr. Ikram Sahib asked me to evaluate the work. I talked to local friends and got a mason to work on cardboard to make five strong rooms without columns load bearing RCC roof and kitchen and tap facility in each room for 120,000. These rooms were ready and given on rent and today the rent of each room is 2000 rupees. And even today, people remember those who built the room. We asked Mr. Hafiz Mahboob Ali Sahib to start the interpretation of Maarif Al-Qur'an for the Muslims after Fajr, so the interpretation was started. After Isha, there used to be teaching of virtues. I gifted the set of Maarif al-Hadith to Hafiz Mahbub Ali. He started giving appropriate speech in the Friday sermon and today he is a good speaker. Ajmal Khan and I advised him and gave him the MA Urdu exam from Osmania University Distance Education Centre. He succeeded in this exam.He worked as a contract lecturer for many years in Kalvakarti and now he became a regular lecturer under a scheme of Telangana government.The students we taught there in intermediate are now lecturers and teachers. Zubair is a lecturer in Economics. Arifa Begum is a History Lecturer at MVS Degree College Mehboobnagar. Sohail and other students are school teachers. The Telugu Desam government in Nagarkarnool agreed to visit local villages every year under the Janmabhoomi programme. It was agreed to go to the areas of Kalwakarti, Gadwal, Achampet and Kolhapur during the election period. During our stay, after Nagarkarnool Vikramamarka, Narayan Reddy was the principal of the college, later a Muslim English lecturer Mr Sadiq got promotion as principal. I worked seven years at Nagarkurnool. Our three sonsMaaz, Faraz and Saad born and grown up in the stay at Nagarkurnool. We got a rented house on the first floor of Shakur Sahib's house and left Usman Sahib's house because Shakur Sahib's house had a borewell and was clean. Usman Sahib had also dig a borewell, but after seeing the cleanliness of the house, we settled in the house of Shakur Sahib Telecom Department. During this period, our mother, mother-in-law, father-in-law and other relatives used to come to Nagarkurnool during holidays. We used to travel frequently from Nagarkarnool to Hyderabad by non-stop bus. We also took a landline phone. Ghazala madam had a daughter Nimra and a son Ajmal Khan Sahib's elder daughter died in front of my eyes due to a lorry accident. Mr. Burhanuddin Sahib passed away. Mr. Ubaid Sahib passed away. Our commissioner was very tough. After a lot of struggle, the transfer of employees was announced. When the cover was brought, our happiness did not end that we are now going from Nagarkurnool to Sangareddy as myself and Ghazala madam was transferred to Sangareddy, which is fifty kilometers from our hometown Hyderabad. The local people expressed regret for the transfer of three regular lecturers, but the fact remains that there are transfers in government jobs. When we joined the new place and came back to Nagar kurnool, we invited the villagers. Ramesh, who works at Shakeel Sahib Supplying Company, made special mutton biryani and metha for about a hundred people. The local people gave us gifts. The next day, Ghazala madam and our belongings were loaded into a big truck. During our stay of seven years, our house had accumulated a lot of good things, including a refrigerator, a scooter, and a wardrobe. In the first part Ghazala madam's goods were loaded and in the second part our goods were loaded, for which the Muzin of the mosque  mr Ibraheem worked hard, he also came to Sangareddy with the truck to unload our goods. I reached Sangareddy along with the women children of both the houses in the lorry. I had taken a rented house in Jalal Bagh while Ghazala Medium took a rented house near the college in Upar Bazar. Talked to Shakur sahib and others on phone and after taking LPC and service book we lost contact with Nagar Kurnool. Later, myself and Ajmal Khan attended the wedding of Shakur Sahib's daughter. Shakur Sahib's wife whom we used to call aunty, like the elder of the house, she supported our wife, especially taking care of our small children Faraz and Saad and comforting us in the event of illness, etc., never made us feel alienated. Even today, we continue to talk to Shakur sahab and other friends through the phone. Shakur Sahib and Shakeel Bhai were with us on the occasion of Safar e Hajj in 2008 and later also met them in various functions in Hyderabad. I was transferred to Sangaredy Girls Junior College, after working there for one year, I was transferred to Zaheerabad as a lecturer in Degree College in 2006. After staying at Jalal Bagh in Sangaredy for some time on the first floor, I changed the house and we shifted to the house of Mr. Abid Hussain Sahib, adjacent to Shanti Nagar Mehbobia Masjid, near the bus stand.His house was clean with marble floor on the ground floor, big field in front of the house, mosque adjacent to the house and good water facility in the house. About six years passed in Mr. Abid Hussain's house. When I was transferred from Sangareddy to Zaheerabad, the distance from Sangareddy to Zaheerabad was 50 km. The children were admitted to a local school. Sangareddy is close to Hyderabad, so it was suggested that I travely by bus to Zaheerabad and return in the evening every day. It was a new experience for me that the job was somewhere else and the family was somewhere else but this continued. I used to park my scooter at the Sangareddy  intersection and reach Zaheerabad in an hour by taking a Karnataka bus. The red soil of Zaheerabad, which is called Hinai Sarzameen, is said to be that once this soil touches one's feet, it does not leave behind, that is, the period of employment is long, there is no exchange. Our stay in Sangareddy was also pleasant. Abid bhai and his family took good care of our children and the days passed quickly. In Zaheerabad, Geeta Lakshmi Patnaik was our principal. Mr. Abdulhai Sahib, senior lecturer told me that here apart from Urdu, students have one subject in BA ie Modern Language Urdu for which there is no separate lecturer. You have to teach this subject. Bring the books. And also taught Modern Language Urdu to the students Mr. Amjad Sahib Junior College Lecturer used to teach political science to the students in the college Mr. Isa Hashmi Sahib was the Physical Director and Mrs. Sabiha Sharif Sahiba was the Commerce Lecturer. In Zaheerabad, the number of students studying Urdu medium is high. Girls and boys used to study together in the college. Girls were allowed to wear full veil and burqa. Boys also studied in discipline. In the college, fresher's party used to be an annual get together and various functions. After the transfer of Geeta Patnaik, three more principals came. Safia Mohammadi and Samira Madam were also transferred to this college as lecturers in political Science. I provided notes on computer to the students. Purchased Urdu books for the library. While working in the same college, I had the opportunity to travel to Hajj Baytullah with my wife in 2008. After completing six years of service at Zaheerabad, I was transferred from Zaheerabad to my native district Nizamabad. So once again we traveled to Nizamabad along with my family, putting the goods in the truck. Our landlord Mr. Abid Hussain Sahib and his wife were upset that we were missing out. While living in this house in 2009 I bought a computer and internet connection was taken from the telephone line. At that time the speed of the internet was very low, you had to download the video to watch it, the internet was very useful for emailing, at that time I started a Facebook account. Increased contact with people. Learned in-page typing in Urdu and learned to type Urdu in unicode. For Syed Asad's newspaper Aaj Ka Telangana in Nizamabad, I wrote and sent about a hundred Urdu articles from Sangareddy on a daily basis, which were published on the second page of Aaj Ka Telangana daily, and these articles appeared on Facebook in the evening. In Ramazan I used to go to Masjid Numaniya. Deeni ijtema meetings were held with the children of Amir Sufi Sahib, Mufti Imran Farooq currently residing in Canada and Maulana Aslam Qasmi. In Ramadan, Taraweeh used to be held in Masjid Numaniya, there were training sessions for  hajj pilgrims and there was an opportunity to speak in mosques during blessed nights. I had the opportunity to benefit from Mr. Arif Sahib in charge of Urdu Academy Center in Sangareddy. He composed the pages of my PhD research thesis. During my stay in Sangareddy, my PhD thesis was completed and in 2006 Degree received. In Zaheerabad, one of my beloved students was Muhammad Mehboob, who was writing articles in newspapers since his student days. And now he is doing his PhD from Oriental Urdu Osmania University under my supervision, his thesis title is Literary Services of United Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy. After spending six years in Sangareddy, I shifted to Nizamabad with my family. I was transferred from Zaheerabad to Girraj Government College Nizamabad. It is an autonomous college where four thousand students study. And the number of teaching faculty are more than hundred. The friends of Nizamabad were happy after getting the information about my transfer to Nizamabad that I am coming home to serve the same district as a lecturer to the district from where I had studied SSC. Today, after reading my articles in Aaj Ka Telangana, Mr. Aziz Sohail, son of Jamaat-e-Islami senior worker Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Sahib, contacted me and told me about Nizamabad. Maryam Fatima, a research scholar who was doing her PhD from Telangana University, also guided the children in school admissions. On reaching Nizamabad Mr. Abid Nisar, the lecturer of commerce of Girraj College and a worthy person of our neighbourhood in Phulang, recived me to the college from the station mosque and help me to join. She had been a lecturer. Dr. Nazim Ali was the president of the department before me in Giri Raj College. He also explained the conditions of the college. Mr. Abid Nisar provide lunch at Mahfil Hotel.Had a meeting with my childhood friends Aslam Lohia Advocate Raziuddin Aslam Muhammad Abdul Baseer. Aslam Lohia agreed to rent out his newly purchased house to me. Mujeeb Sahib, son of our Aga Khan School Headmaster Mr. Yaqoob Sahib, was running educational institutions like Knowledge Park and Crescent School in Nizamabad, My children started their education at Christian School in Sangareddy. After teaching there, I wanted to teach my children in a Muslim management institute in Nizamabad with mother toungue Urdu as second language. After returning from Nizamabad to Sangareddy, I had to once again travel towards Nizamabad. Abid Hussain's daughter Afira son Ashfaq and his nephew Imtiaz bid us farewell. Abid Hussain and his wife were very fond of our little daughter Umima, who was only two or three years old while we left from Sangareddy. However, after reaching Nizamabad, I stayed at uncle Azhar Faroqui's house for the night and with the help of local friends, gas connection and school admission and other steps were decided. I got a good opportunity to present my skills in Giriraj College. In a meeting in college I was asked what is required for your field so I asked for a laptop. Apart from me, other ten departments were approved by the Principal Limba Gaud sir. A few days after I came to Giriraj College, the then principal Maurya Younis was transferred to Hyderabad Commissioner Office. And the former lecturer of the college, Professor Limbagoud, who was a professor in Telangana University, returned as Principal of Giriraj College. During his principalship, I conducted two workshops and three national seminars in the college and was made the Head of the English department. Girraj College was awarded the status of College with Potential for Excellence and got a grant of five seventy five lakh rupees from UGC. The principal said that all the departments should conduct national seminar. I also consulted my colleagues and got approval for the national seminar. . The Principal approved Rs.75 thousand and said that after the selection of the topic of the seminar, work should be done regarding the arrival of the guests, the brochure of the seminar should be prepared and the scholars should be invited at the national level. After consultation with our colleague Dr. Fazlullah Mukram and others, the theme of the seminar was decided as "21st Century Urdu Literature Challenges and their Solution". From the University of Hyderabad, Prof. Muzaffar Shah Miri, Prof. Muhammad Anwaruddin, Prof. Naseemuddin Faris, Dr. Majeed Bidar, Dr. Fazlullah Makram, Dr. Sheikh Salim, Dr. Athar Sultana, Dr. Gul e Rana, Dr. Musa Iqbal, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qavi. Dr. Shujaat Ali, Mustafa Ali Sarwari, Dr. Salman Abid, Dr. Atiq Iqbal, Dr. Nisar, Dr. Tayyab Kharadi, Dr. Abdul Qudus and other scholars participated in the National Seminar. A lot of support was given to me from our college, Mr. Abid Sahib, Haseebur Rehman Commerce Lecturer, Muhammad Mobeenuddin History Lecturer, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rafiq Chemistry Lecturer, Muhammad Abdul Rahman Dawoodi, Muhammad Abdul Baseer Junior Lecturer Urdu and others contributed. On the advice of Mr. Naseer Sahib, the former president of the history department, Tabsum Faridi, local journalists and those who worked for the establishment of the department of Urdu and Urdu medium in Giriraj College were invited. The guests had arrived a day before from Hyderabad and were accommodated in a local guest house. On the morning of the seminar, in the principal's chamber we welcomed the guests. The inagural session was a success. Professor Muhammad Anwaruddin said that he participated in more than thirty national seminars in his life, but never saw such a large number of participants in the Urdu seminar of Giriraj College. Professor Muzaffar Ali Shah Miri delivered the keynote address and said that Urdu Alphabets can be fifty-two. He drew attention to the challenges of Urdu and their solutions. After the end of the first day of the seminar, a mushaira was held in the night under the chairmanship of Dr. Majeed Bedar, in which Dr. Mohsin Jalganvi and local poets recited their poetry. On the second day, Dr. Majeed Bidar, Dr. Fazlullah Makram and Dr. Sheikh Saleem presided over the meeting. All the paper writers were given certificate and momento. Special momento and shawl were presented to the guests. The proceedings of the seminar were presented in newspapers on both days. The papers read in this seminar were given a book form and its publication was financially supported by Mr. Mujeeb Sahib, Director Knowledge Park International School. Similarly, the bags given to the participants of the seminar were given with the financial support of Sultan Brothers Cloth Showroom. Urdu lovers of Nizamabad were of the opinion that in the history of Nizamabad, Urdu seminar was not organized on such a grand scale. Another seminar was organized by the Department of Urdu in Girraj College in 2014. This seminar was organized with the financial support of the National Council for the Promotion of Urdu, Delhi. Forty thousand was approved for this seminar, but the first installment was only twenty thousand. The title of the seminar was “Urdu literature, cultural values, past, present and future”. The special feature of this seminar was that the famous Iqbal expert Dr. Taqi Abdi gave a live lecture from Canada with the help of Skype video calling. This was the first opportunity to give an international live lecture in any university and college. Dr. Taqi Abidi spoke from Canada for an hour without any interruption two GB or four GB data had to be recharged. It was a successful lecture which was felicitated by the principal of the college, after which Azra Banu gave an economics lecture from Lucknow on Skype and I gave a lecture at MVS College Mahabubnagar.The chief guest of this seminar was Prof. Khalid Saeed, Maulana Azad Urdu University, Dr. Fazil Hussain Parvez, editor, Gawah weekly Hyderabad and local teachers. More than forty scholars presented papers in this one-day seminar. The report of this seminar was also presented in newspapers and television channels. In 2014, when I was given the chairmanship of the English department, I was given the responsibility of organizing a national seminar in English. This seminar was on the contribution of Indian writers in the promotion of English literature. The then Vice Chancellor of Telangana University, Mr. Partha Sarathy, participated as the chief guest. The teachers and lecturers of English Department of Osmania University and Telangana University participated in this seminar. And read articles. Souvenirs of papers delivered in all three seminars were published along with messages from eminent personalities. After conducting the English seminar, I gained prominence in the college and was made the co-ordinator of IQAC. I published two editions of the college magazine Surujana. A workshop was conducted in Urdu on the subject of Journalism, in which Mustafa Ali Sarwari, associate prof of Journalism Department MANUU ETV Urdu channel news reader Jilani and Dr. Fazlullah Mukrram, associate prof of Urdu at Osmania University, participated in this one day workshop. A workshop on the art of translation was conducted in which Mr. Junaid Zakir from MANUU Hyderabad and Faheemuddin Ahmed Urdu University participated. A program named Kahkashan was also organized in the college for the students. Dr. Humaira Sayeed, Dr. Mohammad Nazim Ali, Dr. Safdari Askar and Rehman Dawoodi participated as guest lectures. Belan Nizamabadi and Jameel Nizamabadi and Sheikh Ahmad Zia were invited as a meeting with a poet. In view of the requirement of inclusion of local syllabus by UGC, I changed twenty percent syllabus in Urdu syllabus of Girraj College. In which Jameel Nizamabadi's ghazals, Dr. Beg Ehsaas's story, Dard ke Kheme, Muhammad Ayub Farooqui's poem, Teri Meri Aas Vahi Hai, Sheikh Ahmed Zia's story, Old Age Home, Nizamabad District History and Nizamabad District Urdu Journalism added  in the college Urdu syllyabus. During my stay in Nizamabad, an organization named Urdu Scholars Association was established with the aim of guiding and leading the research scholars studying in the university. In the first meeting, the then Vice Chancellor of Telangana University Prof. Akbar Ali Khan inaugurated this association. Expressing good wishes for the establishment of the library, he donated ten thousand rupees to establish a standard library. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rafiq Sahib Girraj College gave five thousand rupees and with this money, a wardrobe rack was purchased, UGC Net and important Urdu books were purchased. Meetings of Urdu Scholars Association were held in the same library, in which scholars presented their research articles and their works were heard from Urdu writers and poets. Dr Azeez Suhail. MA Baseer and Rehman Dawoodi and others assisted in organizing the meetings. During our stay in Nizamabad, literary meetings were also held at our house under the name of Farooqi Manzil. And the the book release of Rahim Anwar's collection of short stories from Kamareddy was also held at our house. During my stay in Nizamabad, research scholar Maryam Fatima completed her PhD on Ghalib's prose from Telangana University. She took guidance from me for her research work. Many of our students studied from Giriraj College and progressed further, thus the establishment of Nizamabad was memorable. After six years of stay, when the government made mandatory transfers, I was transferred from Nizamabad to NTR Degree College, Mahbub Nagar. It should be noted that considering Nizamabad as my homeland, I had bought a house of 100 yards in Khoja Colony with the intention of staying in Nizamabad permanently. Among the children, Maaz, the eldest son, after his SSC and Inter, shifted to his grandmother's house in Hyderabad to study Physiotherapy. The second child Faraz passed intermediate from Kaktiya college and the third child Saad started studying.I works six years in Nizamabad and in 2017 compulsory transfers were made and I got transferred to NTR College Mahabubngar. Before my transfer I have shifted my family to Hyderabad for higher studies of my childere. As we shifter from Nizamabad to Hyderabad earlier, we also shifted to Hyderabad Aghapura so that Saad could study of Hifze Quran. He got the opportunity to study in Maulana Obid Ur Rehman Athar's madrasa in the Masjid of Teen Posh. Children also had college nearby and I used to get Mahbub Nagar bus from imliban bus station. Although my scooter Bajaj Chetak was old, it was giving me good support. It continued till 2022. NTR College was a girls' college, the number of female and male lecturers was more than fifty and the number of students was up to three thousand. In this college also I got a chance to show my skills. The principal of the college was Mrs. Bibi Zainab. The major phase of NAAC inspection in the college was completed under my supervision in 2020. During Bibi Zainab's tenure, I was made Vice Principal, IQAC Coordinator, Rusa Coordinator and Magazine Committee Coordinator in the college.Under my supervision, a beautiful website of the college was developed on which all the activities of the college were uploaded. Three annual magazines of the college named Darpan were published under my editorship. In which, apart from students' creations in four languages, college activities were presented. A lecturer is promoted to the post of Principal on the condition of fifteen years of service in a degree college and a Ph.D. During my stay in this college, I was awarded the state level best teacher award in 2019 by the Hyderabad Education Minister and Commissioner Collegiate Education. In the year 2020, during the global epidemic of Covid, about four to six months of hard time were passed. Everyone was imprisoned in their homes due to the lockdown and news reporting in social media created terror in the hearts of the peple. All were praying Allah to protect us from this epidemic.  During Covide like other I also got fever, but after this epidemic, I was kept alive. It was thanks to Allah. This epidemic destroyed thousands of houses, someone's father died, someone's son or mother died. The effects of this epidemic are felt even today. On April 22, 2022 I got promoted to the post of Principal and once again I had to come to Government Degree College Zaheerabad this time to the post of Principal. Thus, it became clear that the red soil of Zaheerabad does not leave behind. After my father's death, after the division of the house, I bought a house in Neeraja Colony, Toli Chowki, and from Aghapura, we shifted to Toli Chowki, a private house. The house of Meiraj Colony got damaged due to heavy rain, so my brother demolished this house and built a new four-storey personal house for himself and his sons and daughters. As a principal in the college, all kinds of responsibilities have to be seen. In the college, Dr. Mohammad Ghouse, political science, Dr. Ayesha Begum, Urdu, Badr Sultana, Economics, Mohammad Tanveer, History, Mohammad Muzaffar, Commerce and other lecturers are there. All the programs that are held in the college are recorded and presented on YouTube. Thus, all the programs that are held in Government Degree College Zaheerabad are saved on the internet. The quarterly activities of the college are colorful in the form of newsletters Being published with photos National Seminar on Political Science was organized in the college. And the results of the college are encouraging. A large number of Muslim girls are studying in the college, which indicates that girls are studying more than Muslim boys. It was the culmination of my twenty-five year career journey. There is a kind of security and security in a government job, otherwise many people have been suffering from economic depression after covid. The salary is enough to take care of ourselves and the children. The friends request that the principal should come by car, but it is not suitable to go by car every day for 100 kilometers, so the journey continues by bus. May Allah protect me from all kinds of evil while working and keep working for the development of knowledge.

           It is a fact of the world that whoever came into this world has to depart this mortal world one day or the other. A good life is one in which a person fulfills the purpose of his birth and lives his life in obedience to God and obedience to the Prophet and leaves behind something for the people of the world in such a way that the world remembers him forever. November 12, 2018 Monday was the day when the shadow of our father Mr. Mohammad Ayub Farooqi Saber was lifted from our heads by God's will. And we all lost an intellectual and literary legacy. He lived his whole life with soum wo salat in good health and only one month of illness led to his last journey. What was approved by God happened. Respected father lived 85 years of his life and passed away after living a full life. It has been our good fortune to have seen him lead a rich exemplary life and we are proud to be the trustees of his training and moral legacy and we pray to Allah to enable us to live according to our father's advice.What can be more proud for a child than to inherit the precious capital of knowledge and literature from his father. In this sense, I am fortunate that I got the inheritance of Urdu literature from my father Mr. Muhammad Ayub Farooqi Saber and I am engaged in nurturing it and spreading the example to others. The treasure of a person's memories is the great treasure of his life and since reaching the level of consciousness until now, the treasure of the words heard from my father and the knowledge and wisdom learned from him is extremely valuable to me and. I feel proud. First of all, I am praying to Allah Almighty that Allah Almighty bless my father with paradise and raise his ranks. Ismail Farooqui passed away when my father was completing his schooling. His mother and my grandmother Rahmat Bi Sahiba, became widow and she lived with her children in unfavorable conditions. Apart from my father, my uncles Muhammad Asghar Farooqi, Muhammad Azhar Farooqi, Muhammad Amjad Farooqi, Muhammad Anees Farooqi and four aunts. Endowed with a fine education and all my uncles, including my father, held high government posts. Dad used to say that he was fond of higher education. And for that he stayed in Warangal and Hyderabad. After inter he was also admitted in MBBS. In which Dr. Majeed Khan and his cousin Dr. Syed Yusuf Ali were his classmates. However, due to financial constraints, he was forced to abandon his studies in medicine after one year. He wanted to become a doctor, but his elder son, my elder brother Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Farooqi, fulfilled his father's dream and he is a professor of medicine in Nizamiya Medical College, Hyderabad. He also served in the post of  Deputy Director AYUSH Telangana. He has world fame in the field of Islamic treatment Hijama.

Similarly, father took BA degree. He was also the editor of the English section of the college magazine. And wrote the English article Time and Space with Iqbal. Admitted to Osmania University on the desire to do MA in Urdu. The head of the Urdu department, Prof. Masood Hussain Khan, told him if he does not continue his education, he will do injustice to his future. Mustafa Kamal, Ashraf Rafi and Syeda Jafar were his classmates at that time. But due to the domestic pressure of work, he did not get the opportunity to pursue higher education in his favorite subject. However, I got a chance to fulfill his wish. This started when my SSC result was out. My father's friend Mr. Rashid Ahmed Shutari had come to our home. When I saw my marks, I found out that English, Urdu and Social Sciences have more marks. He advised me to continue my studies as I am interested in arts. But on the one hand, the family wished that the elder brother was going ahead in the line of medicine, I should go ahead in engineering. So against my will I got admission in MPC English medium. But due to lack of interest in mathematics, I later did BA in Urdu medium. Along with schooling in Nizamabad, I also got the opportunity to memorize the Holy Quran. Mr. Irfan Ahmed Sahib and Maulana Jamalur Rahman Mifthi were my Hifz e Quran teachers. Dad used to say that along with religious education, keep getting the modern education also. So after completion of memorization in Hyderabad and BA from Osmania University Union College, instead of B.Ed, I took admission in MA Urdu from University of Hyderabad on the advice of my respected father and got gold medal. Similarly, MPhil and Ph. D. Kya and I are still the only doctorates in my family. Another thing which is a matter of pride for our brothers is that before retiring on stipend from the honorable government service, father was promoted to a gazetted position and retired as an Employment Officer from Adilabad. But both I and my elder brother Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Farooqi started our careers from gazetted positions after passing the Public Service Commission examinations. On which everyone in the family kept congratulating the father that both the sons of Farooqui are doctors and are holding gazetted posts. I also got job as Junior Lecturer and after working in Nagarkarnool, Singareddy, Zaheerabad, Nizamabad, Mehboob Nagar, now I am holding the post of Principal Government Degree College, Zaheerabad.Dad was famous for his English correspondence during his career. As the President of the Urdu Department, I got the opportunity to organize two Urdu National Seminars. Dad was very fond of his uncle Syed Wahid Ali Wahid, Deputy Commissioner of Labor, Bombay. He was a friend of Yusuf Nazim and after the formation of the modern state, his services were transferred to Maharashtra. Whenever he came to Hyderabad, he used to stay at our house. He often used to mention the memories of Osmania University during his student days. He was a disciple of eminent jurist Dr. Hameedullah. Two of his poetry collections "Mataa e Gham" and "Inbesat e Alam" were also published. He often used to mention the academic and literary gatherings of Hyderabad in the past. In which the time of staying in the hostel, the environment of the college, Makhdoom and Sikandar Ali Wajid and others were often mentioned. These things were full of passion for me.

My father's year of birth was 1933. He saw the Nizam regime. He had passed through the period of youth during the struggle for independence. I have often heard from him the conditions of India at that time. I heard from him the stories of India's independence, the events of the fall of Hyderabad, the police action and the bloodshed of the Nizamabad riots.  He used to tell the story of a police officer known as Bari Sahib's Danda Nizamabad thanda. After the partition of the country, the migration of people and the economic problems of the people living here were also heard from him. Dad used to say that after the fall of Hyderabad, bad conditions came upon the Muslims. The doors of government jobs were closed to Muslims for a long time. Then things improved later. One of my aunts, Abida Begum, migrated to Pakistan at the request of her husband. But still they are called refugees in the neighboring country. Dad used to say that his decision to stop here turned out to be a wise one. Otherwise, most of the people used to advise to migrate. I heard about his early jobs and work in the ITI Department and later in the Employment Department while talking to my uncle.

Our ancestral house was known as Yakub Manzil in Mohalla Phulang Nizamabad. In which we lived till 1985, later that house was sold. Dad's friends often used to sit in the living room of this house. Mr. Kazim Ali Khan, editor Naveed Sahar weekly, Pagal Adil Abadi, Belan Nizam Abadi and Tanveer Wahidi often visited our house to meet my father for correction of their poetry. Nizamabad is the city of mushairas. Memorable mushairas were held in this city by various literary organizations. But perhaps one of the most memorable mushairas in the history of Nizamabad was held in Rajiv Auditorium Tilak Garden in 1982. It was an all-India mushaira. In which Kaifi Azmi, Khumar Bara Bankwi, Raz Allahabadi, Baikal Utsahi etc. participated from the north. While Auj Yaqoubi, Sayeed Shahidi, Soraya Mehr, Aziz Un-Nisa Saba and others from Hyderabad participated as local poets, father recited his ghazal. On which Kaifi Azmi gave special praise. This mushaira was organized by Zubair Rizvi, who has recently passed away. In Nizamabad, Mr. Almas Khan Sahib used to say that your respected father worked a lot for Anjuman Taraqqi Urdu Branch, Nizamabad. He presented his poetry on various occassions in Hyderabad in presence of Rehman Jami and Gulzar Zatshi Dehlvi in some mushairas. Prof. Mughani Tabassum and Ewaz Sayeed participated in the ritual release of Anees Farooqi's collection of fiction and applauded the words of the father. During his stay in Adilabad, his poetry collection "Akhir e Shab Ke Hamnisheen" was published. A commemorative Mushaira of the history of Adilabad and Mahfil Afsana were organized for the ceremony. Apart from my father’s poetry, his prose is also very mature. The style reflects experimentation. A humorous essay competition was organized by the former Munsif news paper in which Dad submitted his essay "Dakhila Policy" at the last minute. Which was awarded first prize. The essay he wrote forty years ago under the name "Nizamabad Ka Tugrafia" still highlights the ancient memories of Nizamabad. Another article of his, "Takhta Mishka" was also quite popular. He also wrote some fiction. During his stay in Adilabad, father mentored many young poets. After his retirement, he served for some time as the Principal of Century School in Toli Chowki. Had the opportunity to perform Hajj. Despite the effect of paralysis, he showed determination and courage and performed the stages of Tawaf and Sa'i himself. He used to go out for a walk in the morning at Meraj Colony Toli Chowki. In the evening, he used to go to the mosque from Asr to Maghrib and offer prayers and engage in the recitation of the Holy Quran.  He was very popular in the neighborhood. It was his habit to gift chocolates to children and help people as much as he could. After his death, many people mourned and said that Farooqui Sahib used to help us immensely. About his poetic taste, he says that he often composes poems, but due to paralysis, he could not write them. Grand daughter Sadaf Fatima used to write his poems at home. I hope to collect this capital of poetry and publish his second collection of poetry. One of his poems "Teri Meri Aas Wahi Hai" was included in the Urdu syllabus of Girraj College in Nizamabad.Our house is the main house of the family. After we left the Yaqoob Manzil in Nizamabad, the present house was also named Yaqoob Manzil after his grandfather. The specialty of our house is hospitality. In which the mother Mrs. Qamarunnisa Begum has also played a very important role in the education of children, their educational progress and the stages of marriage. She was the daughter of Syed Dawood Rehman, a famous businessman of Nizamabad. And her special habit was to be humble for the sake of people. And even today our house has been the main house of the family where countless family functions were held and now our relatives and friends from all over the world stay at our house whenever they come to Hyderabad. The marriages of four sisters Shahnaz Nasreen, Fauzia Parveen, Shazia Yasmin and Faiza Tazyeen took place in this famous house. All four brothers-in-law Sheikh Khawaja Mian, Ayub Khan, Aziz Siddiqui and Ilyas Khan are holding good jobs. A good friend of father is his brother Asghar Farooqui, who used to come home early in the morning, talk to father for an hour and take care of fulfilling other needs of father apart from his pension. The elder son, Dr. Ahsan Farooqi, took care of father's medical and other needs. While myself his younger son is performing the duty of his literary legacy and I have been receiving his literary heritage from him. Dad's younger brother Muhammad Anees Farooqi was a good fiction writer and poet. Five collections of his fiction have been published. He also took poetry correction from my father. In this way, the journey of the life of the respected father Mr. Muhammad Ayub Farooqi Saber is like a thick shadow in the hot sun. In the employment era, people used to approach Dad for call letters and jobs in the employment office. Like in his own life, father also trained us to look for halal food and trust in Allah for the rest. If you help people, Allah will help you.

Famous journalist, writer and poet from Nizamabad Mr. Jameel Nizamabadi published Ayub Farooqi special number of Goonj in April 2016. His popularity was such that on the occasion of his death, many relatives and friends attended the funeral and people from all over the world sent condolence messages. Mr. Ahmad Premi Sahib from Chicago presented an ancient inscription of my respected father on Facebook. We are intended to start an educational foundation or a series of awards in the memory of father and to pay tribute to his services. The people of Nizamabad and the people of Urdu will not forget the Urdu services and philanthropy of the respected father and they will send him their prayers.

Since my father's death, the health of my mother Mrs. Qamar-un-Nisaa Begum also began to deteriorate. She had used a lot of pain-relieving pills for knee pain in her life. This had an impact on his later life. When her heart rate slowed down, she was put on a pacemaker. Before  father's death, her memory began to diminish. The woman who served the family throughout her life forgot to keep the stove open, the milk boiled and the curry burned. My elder brother's family was living on the upper floor. I was transferred to Nizamabad. At the time of my father's death, I was transferred to Mehboob Nagar. After the death of the father, a female worker Subdhara was hired to take care of my mother, who took care of mother in a helpful way. Mother started to forget her children and herself. It was a moment of patience for us as children and for the family that our mother was not recognizing us. Often she said that father must be sitting in the mosque. Keep the door open he will come. Because in the last days only the father and mother were left in the house, the elder brother was living in the upper floor. The mother's remembrance of her husband continued for several months even though she witnessed father's funeral. Subdhara took care of her bathing and cleanliness and diet. After the death of father, whatever pension was left to mother it was used in Subdhara's salary. Even during the covid, mother stayed in the house of Mairaj Colony. Once, during a stormy rain, water entered the houses in the back of Mairaj Colony. Somehow mother was saved by calling the boys of the neighborhood and shifted her to neighbouring aunt's house in front. The next day she was brought to our house in the first floor room of Neeraja Colony. Subdhara also started living with us. She used to speak in Hindi and used to call mother Ammiji. It was her responsibility to massage and clean her. When it started to happen, she was given liquid food through a pipe. In the summer, she became very weak and finally on June 17, 2021, before dawn, she opened her eyes for a while and saw everyone and took her last breath and left us from this mortal world.The graves of father and mother are in Hakeempet cemetery. Our brothers and sisters served our mother well. The whole family came to our house to see our parents, this shows how important the shadow of elders is. We feel the loss of father and mother, and at the same time, their training and advice teach us to walk in the difficult paths of our life. Mother Sahiba was the eldest daughter-in-law of the family. There are many loved ones in the family like great aunts and sisters-in-law. Everyone remembers them. The journey of life goes on fast. It is the responsibility of us living people to remember the past. The memories of the parents were preserved in this aap beti so that our children at least read the deeds of their grandparents and great grandparents through this book and pray for their forgiveness.

 

Publications

I was fond of reading newspapers and magazines since childhood. This hobby was inherited because father was a good poet and writer. Siblings also used to teach in Urdu at home. My primary education was in Urdu medium at Aga Khan School. In school, teachers who wrote notes were saved in note books. I stood first in all exams. Loud reading was also done in the class room. Apart from the school textbooks, I became fond of reading newspapers and magazines by going to the neighborhood library. A library was established by the SIO department of Jamaat-e-Islami in our neighborhood Phulang Nizamabad. Apart from Urdu and English newspapers, the magazines Noor, Khilona, Hilal, etc. used to come in this library. Sometimes I used to go to Bapuji Vachanalaya and District Girandhaliya Library where I used to read magazines namely Hazar Rung and Sudha Rung, Shama, Ruby, Bisween Sadi etc.These Urdu magazines also read in the house. In high school, my friend Aslam Lohia was fond of reading Ibn e Safi's novels. I also read Ibn e Safi's novels. But did not read much. I liked Imran series novels better than Faridi Hameed novels. My sisters used to get novels from the library, but I have no interest in Urdu romance novels. The study of newspaper Siasat and other papers greatly influenced my Urdu linguistics. Later, I want to give the fruit of what I wrote in Urdu prose to the study of daily Siasat paper. Apart from this, Risala Noor's simple prose also impressed me a lot. At that time, there was no idea of sending letters or articles to newspapers or magazines. After coming to Hyderabad, it was only after Inter and BA that I turned my attention to articles writing. When I saw in the newspapers that the articles of readers and experts were published in the special supplements of the Jagne Ki Ratein, especially Shab e Meraj, Shab e Barat and Shab e Qadr, then I also felt the desire to write an article. It was a pleasure to have the name published in the newspaper. I found out the method of sending an article that one has to write an article in the name of the editor of the newspaper and send it to the address of the newspaper. From other newspapers and books I used to get material and send them in plain language in an orderly manner. On the day when the article was expected to be published, I would go to Mehdiputnam and buy newspapers and rejoice at the publication of the article. Dad suggested to cut and paste the articles in a book, thus preserving the creations. So I started saving my articles in the form of an album. During the MA, the names of the participants in the radio program, who participated in the Yuva Vani programs on All India Radio, were also included in the newspaper, so the cutting of the radio program was also saved. During the establishment of Meraj Colony, in our Masjid Habib-Nisa, Mr. Abid Khan Sahib started the teaching of Mufti Muhammad Shafi Sahib's Tafseer Ma'arif Al-Qur'an. During the days of Ramadan and on holidays, I also started reading the volume of Tafseer kept in the mosque individually. The details given in this commentary below the interpretation of a verse are interesting and full of meaning and understanding. Below are major articles on the interpretation of many verses. After reading these articles, I wrote informative articles for the Tuesday edition of the daily Siasat. These articles include the  Honey Bee, water protection system, the prayers of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) etc. When a good number of these articles were collected, a notification came from the Urdu Academy that financial assistance was being given for the publication of books of Urdu writers. So I submitted a draft titled "Qouse Qazah" Informative Articles with Xerox of my published informational articles. A few months later, the draft was approved. Mr. Junaid Sahib of Urdu Academy composed this book. And Mujeeb Sahib of Taha Print published the book  Qaouse Qazha. On my request, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, editor of Siasat, wrote the introduction of the book. The articles of this book are still read with interest by students of Urdu medium. A few years after the publication of my first book, the series of my books continued to be published by the Urdu Academy. So far, eleven books have been published, including Qoqzha (2005), Mazameen e Nou (2012), Science Nama (2014), Aziz Ahmed Ki Novel Nigari (2015), Bartania Mein Urdu Aur Habib Hyderabadi (2016), Dariche (2017), Kahkshan (2018). ) Urdu Ki Muntaqab Nazmein (2019) Guldsta e Naqd (2020) Adab wo Adeeb (2021) Ethics and Human Values (2023) and this book Pal Do Pal Ki Zangani(2023). are included. There was a gap after the publication of the first book, after which all the books continued to be published one book per year with the partial financial assistance of Urdu Academy. The composing of the first book was done by Mr. Junaid Sahib after that I learned Urdu typing in page on computer. All Urdu newspapers, magazines and website owners want whatever publication material is sent to them to be typed in inpage Urdu format. So the material included in these books of mine has been typed by me. It is important for Urdu people to be in tune with the contemporary requirements of the time and do their own writing and compilation work on the computer. The book on Aziz Ahmed is my MPhil research dissertation which deals with research and criticism.Bartania Mein Urdu and Habeeb Hyderabadi is my PhD thesis which deals with research and criticism. Guldsta e Naqd is a book containing my comments and introductory essays written on various poets and writers of Urdu. Apart from this, all the books are literary, informative and research articles. For some time now, my humorous articles and essays have been published in the column of the editorial page of Munsif daily, so far ten or fifteen articles have been published. These articles are being published under the name of Inshay Asr. While writing research and critical essays, I thought that creative essays should also be written. I have read the famous humorist Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi, Colonel Muhammad Khan, Mujtaba Hussain, Patras Bukhari, Yusuf Nazim etc. Whenever I read a comic article or essay, I think that such articles can be written, however, the trend towards humour and essay writing is increasing, let's see what happens next. When I was transferred to Degree College Zaheerabad in 2006. At that time, I had to teach various topics of history and literature in the first, second, and third year under the modern language Urdu for the students. So I wrote notes to the students in the first year. Later, when the student of the college, Muhammad Ahmed Farzand, Mr. Munir Sahib, the reporter of the Siasat Zaheerabad, found out that he knew inpage typing, I asked him to compose all the notes in Urdu and the students Xerox done. Later, when the new intermediate book came, some private and temporary lecturers asked me to write the guide of this book. It was written in which the interpretation of the poem was given by reference to the text, introduction, interpretation and main idea. In the same style, the summaries of the lessons were also written in simple language. The lecturers and students of Urdu liked this book very much. And the guide of the second year was also written, this series continued further and the degree Urdu notes are also provided to the students in a composed file and they are also available on my website and whenever students or teachers request, I call them. I send the existing PDF to them so that the students and teachers are guided by the essay in Urdu. As it is written in my life situation, I worked as a sub-editor i.e. translator for two years in the daily Hamara Awam and the daily Siasat. The benefit of working as a translator in newspapers was that I gained expertise in translation, i.e. translation from English to Urdu. And nowadays translation writing is also an art that we can get employment from sitting at home. When the work of translation of social studies was going on in the board of intermediate, someone mentioned my name to the official of the board Ms. Abida madam that I had translated a board book of ethics into Urdu. Abida madam called me and asked me to translate some subjects of economics and commerce. I translated them in a smooth language on time, so she was very impressed. Later Mr. Khaliq, the late Controller of Examinations Board of Intermediate once again asked me to do the translation work. When asked for, I translated some lessons in current history and political science books of intermediate and my name is also included in these books.In a ceremony, the Commissioner of Board of Intermediate Telangana Mr. Umar Jaleel Sahib IAS gave certificates to these subjects and lesson writers.

When Dr. Muhammad Ghouse became the director of Urdu Academy, he translated and compiled the social science books of the degree. In this work too I was given the responsibility of translating and writing history lessons. Similarly Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University history and public administration books also include my translated lessons. I have the honor of being involved in the preparation of the intermediate Urdu text book as a member. Similarly, Dr. BR Ambedkar open University Hyderabad included me in the curriculum committee on the occasion of revising the degree syllabus of the open University. Senior lecturers Prof. Baig Ehsaas, Prof. Mohammad Anwaruddin, Prof. Fatima Begum, Prof. Fatima Asif, Prof. Naseemuddin Farees, Prof. Habib Nisar, Prof. Fazlullah Mukarram and others were included in this committee. I was made the editor of a university book, Urdu and Information Technology, which included lessons on Urdu and Computer Development and Urdu on Computers. This book includes articles written by Dr. Ehtesham Ul Hasan, Dr. Gul e Rana and Mr. Syed Mukram Niyaz, a computer expert. In this way, the journey of translation from English to Urdu is going on. Mr. Arshad Mubin Zubair from Urdu Academy often requests me to write an article on a particular topic for the national language, so I immediately fulfill the request. In the year November, Abul Kalam Azad number and Iqbal number are released. For these special numbers I wrote several articles which are included in my books. For this, the papers which were read in Urdu seminars and the topics on which research work was done under the title of research project in colleges were also given the form of articles. I also wrote reports of Urdu seminars. I also wrote the report of the research workshop organized under the auspices of Urdu Academy and the introduction of the first two magazines of Roshan Sitare published by Urdu Academy for children. Under the auspices of the Urdu Academy, the work of writing essays on the famous personalities of Hyderabad in the name of Yad e Riftagan started during the tenure of Dr. Muhammad Ghouse Sahib. For this work I was also asked to write five articles. Under the auspices of Urdu Academy, a beginner's book of Urdu was prepared called Daroos e Urdu. This book is helpful for those who are learning Urdu from English. When some thing to be written I prepare an structre of the article in my mind and I starts typing on computer to complete the article. And it is said that just like a poem comes to the mind of a poet,  and he writes the poem, in the same way, when I have to write an essay on a subject, I put a map in my mind related to this essay and related to it. I get necessary information from books. And then the essay is typed in one sitting, usually I write an essay in a couple of hours. I also got a lot of help from Rekhta website in Urdu essay writing. And I see the required books from this website and get some important information and references from them and make this material a part of my essay. I also wrote many articles on the editorial page of Urdu newspapers, especially my articles were published on the editorial page of Munsif, which are included in the book Galaxy. Syed Asad, our neighbor from Nizamabad published a newspaper Aaj Ka Telangana. For this newspaper also I wrote a series of articles which were published in color on the third page of the newspaper and in the evening the newspaper was uploaded on Facebook. Friends liked these articles a lot. Thus, this journey of my writing and compilation continues. My effort in writing articles is to present the subject in simple language so that the Urdu reader can easily understand the subject after reading the article. When a writer writes a lot, people say that he has a special style. Now only Urdu readers will be able to tell what kind of style my writings shows and what is its identity.

 

 

My Journey  With Technology

 

My journey with technology has been from childhood. I still remember a childhood game. When I was young, and  was in primary school. There was a hole in the door of the living room of the house which opened towards the street. If you looked through this hole, you could see the people passing by and the riders. Once my father's eyeglass broke, I kept a thick glass of this eyeglass with me. Once, I thought, what would it look like if I put this glass on this door hole and look at it. Nothing special was seen by the naked eye. Keeping the glass, I placed a piece of white paper on the inside at some distance, and to my delight, like a television screen, people walking and rides were visible on the paper. As I darkened the room, the scene became clearer and deeper and more colorful. I applied oil to the paper to make the screen more clear.One of the failures in this experiment was that the image was seen upside down through the lens glass, however this childhood game continued until the lens glass broke. At that time I had not even heard of television. At home there was a Murphy radio that Dad had bought which was part of my education and hobbies. Radio details are being given under the heading of Radio Memories. Radio was in use for a long time. Later, on the occasion of Dad's retirement, he was given a small radio Jetking which had meter wave and short wave. Radio Australia's cricket commentary used to come on the 13 meter band, which was in the big radio, but with my efforts, this commentary started coming in the small radio as well. And even after coming to Hyderabad, it continued to be useful for listening to the commentary of BBC-Radio Australia and West Indies cricket matches for a long time. In order for the short wave to be heard clearly in the small radio, I installed a wire as an aerial, which, by moving it far away, the stations could be heard clearly. Whenever there was a need to change an electric bulb in the house or to install a light bulb somewhere, this work also came to me. Color TV came in Nizamabad in 1985. After the Asian Games which were held in Delhi in 1982, the television service of Doordarshan was also started in the districts. Earlier, large antennas had to be installed quite high to receive signals from Hyderabad. Later, by installing small transmitters, TV was also received from small antennas. In 1985, India won the World Series Cup in Australia. And Ravi Shastri was awarded the Audi car as Man of the Series. Most of the matches of this series I saw on the color TV of the collector's office, the local people were given the opportunity to watch the matches. In the evening hours, there used to be a program of Chitrahar film songs on Wednesdays. For the first time, I saw video glimpses of Indian cinema and film songs on this television, otherwise children were forbidden to go to the theater to watch films. Television did not come to our house till we stayed in Nizamabad. Even in Hyderabad, there was no television in my uncle's house. Every week a Hindi movie used to be shown on Doordarshan, the sound of the TV was heard from Iqbal Sahib's house, a black and white small TV came to Faheem Chacha's house, so we often went to his house to watch programs and cricket matches. Even at that time, buying a TV was not something common man could do. Dad's job was in Adilabad, it was probably in 1988. Once I drew a design of a television and wrote a letter to my father asking him to buy a TV for our home. Dad bought a Crompton TV in Adilabad. He kept it and brought it home. There was a wave of happiness in the family that the home TV came. At that time, it did not seem appropriate to go to someone's house and sit all day long to watch a cricket match. There used to be programs from morning to evening on Sundays and NDTV's special program The World This Week on Saturday evenings was quite popular. Anchors reading news on Doordarshan at night were also remembered for a long time. The antenna that my father had brought with the TV from Adilabad was a low transmitter, the size of the antenna used to be different in Hyderabad, so we had no idea that the programs at our house were not clear, so I installed a dish on the antenna to get a clear signal. While trying to receive it, once in the evening hours, I turned the channel and saw the signal of the Saudi channel in a soft voice and the call to prayer of the Haram Sharif was also heard there. It was found that it is due to the satellite. When the cable TV boom began in the 90's, a dish antenna was installed by young boys behind our house. At that time, Star TV's Star Plus Star Movies Star Sports programs were broadcast on a dish called Star TV. Round the clock cable programs revolutionized the world of television as compared to the tired programs of Doordarshan. We also got a cable connection and watched several channels on a black and white TV with a specific electronic band. Later on, Sony TV, ESPN Sports, Zee TV, Zee Cinema and so many channels were added. And TV started playing in homes from morning to evening. The focus was on selecting programs and watching sports. After a long time, father bought a small color TV, but when the campaign was started by Bhai Sahib and others to get TV out of homes, we also bought TVs from 2005 onwards. I took out the TV. Later came the age of smartphones and computers. As said, I bought my first desktop computer in 2009 during my stay in Sangareddy. whose monitor used to be television-style. On the computer I learned Urdu typing, learned how to create emails and send articles and started a Facebook account for the first time in 2009. When internet speed changed over time, I used the educational utility of YouTube during my stay in Nizamabad. I recorded lesson summaries from college students reading them and played back audio of the students scrolling through the pages of the book on the screen. For a long time, there was a desire to know how one's image is seen in Google. How to upload in Google also became known after a long time.When videos started being uploaded on YouTube and not only our college students but other college students started watching these videos, the number of subscribers on YouTube increased and today I have more than three hundred videos on my channel. Appreciation of Ghazal and Appreciation of Nazm are two videos which have more than one lakh viewers. Whenever I read a paper or give a speech on a topic somewhere, I record the video in my phone and upload it to my YouTube channel. Created many of my blogs from the site facility blog. My articles are saved on Dr. Muhammad Aslam Farooqui's Urdu blog 'Hajj Ka Safar' blog and other blogs. I have created my own google website called G-Site which includes Degree Urdu Notes. My books are saved in PDF format on my Urdu blog. In addition to this page, there is Unicode facility for writing Urdu in computer. Unicode is a technique of international languages, with the help of which we can search Google in any language on computer and internet, and Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram. Can write on Twitter etc. So I posted my and others articles in urdu unicode on my blog. From MS Office Power Point I started making Power Point in Urdu and this series continues. Urdu can be designed in DTP and choral draw, similarly there are various phone applications in which poems and sayings in Urdu can be typed beautifully.

When talking about technology, listen the story of my association with phone. After using a landline phone for a while, I bought a cell phone for the first time in 2005. At that time Tata Indicom had free calling facility to Tata phones and for other networks rupees two per minitue was the call rate. So me and other friends bought Tata phones thinking that we can talk to each other for free, otherwise it used to cost a lot of money to talk to someone for one or two minutes on the basis of recharge. The cell phones of those days were not smartphones, only calling facilities. The first phone number I took is still the only number in my phone and that number is 9247191548. After staying with Tata for a while, after moving to Idea with porting facility, now this number is working with Jio company. During my stay in Zaheerabad, I got a phone with internet for the first time. It was also a cell phone that could be watched by downloading videos on a small screen. During the stat at Nizamabad, the era of smartphone came and Jio started with smartphone. Samsung has been part of my phone since then. Now these phones have become companions of life. If you stay away from the phone for some time, you feel anxious about whose message you might  have received. What is happening in the world. Apart from watching matches on smartphones and WhatsApp, many applications have changed my life. Using computers to promote education in Urdu and sharing information through phones has been part of my journey with technology. In 2013, when I arranged a live lecture by Dr. Taqi Abdi from Canada through Skype live calling in Nizamabad, it was a new and unique experience for Urdu students. Lecture started. When the covid outbreak broke out in 2020 and children lost their education due to the long lockdown, I was the first to start the Zoom lecture series, later we were officially asked to take online classes with the help of this app. I have taught many friends and teachers how to take online classes and record them and upload them to YouTube. How to generate links on the website, how we can analyze the content with the help of Google Forms, and how we can get educational benefits with the help of Google Site and Google Drive. Now is the era of AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence. How can we use Chat GPT in education and how can we translate useful content into our own language with the help of Google Translate. These are all part of the journey with technology. . It is the need of the hour to use computer and information technology to our advantage and also learn to use the technology available in our homes and market life to make life easier. Today, things are being ordered at home with the help of online. Transferring money online and storing your information on the internet on Google and LinkedIn are all part of technology. If we don't learn this, we will be left behind and suffer. But we need to learn and use the technology to our advantage.

 

TheWorld of Radio

 

A person's past is the center of his memories. If the memories of forty years ago are revealed, it seems that with the passage of time, how the time have progressed rapidly. After the age of five to ten years, the child reaches the period of consciousness, with the memories of his life becoming the center of his past, making him recollect his past memories in solitude and engage in self-talk. My consciousness begins with the early days of the 1980s when I used to live with my parents and siblings in Mohalla Phulang Nizamabad. The city of Nizamabad is the northern district of the former state of Andhra Pradesh and the present state of Telangana. Near Nizamabad, there was a famous Nizam Sugar Factory in Shakarnagar Bodhan, which was the largest sugar factory in Asia, which was closed due to the passing of time. Our house was named Yaqub Manzil which was made of mud and kaveli. The house had a fresh water tap and a bowli shared with the neighboring house called a well. Few people in the neighborhood used to have a public tap, so our grandmother was known as aunty with a tap. The house in which a person spends his childhood often comes to his dreams. Today, we have changed many houses, but the same childhood house comes to our dreams in which we used to sleep on a bed in the courtyard in the summer watching Chanda Mama. All the brothers and sisters used to sleep on the floor in front of a table fan and there was often a fight over which of us got more air from the fan. Whenever my grandmother saw the new moon, she used to see the face of my elder brother Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Farooqi, she used to say that it will make her next month good. Like our brothers and sisters, I was also admitted to the famous Urdu Medium School of Nizamabad Aagha Khan School in Barkat Pura 4 Kilometers away from home, whose memories have been described in a separate article. I must have been 10 years old at that time and the environment I saw at home was that my father and brothers and sisters were very fond of listening to the radio commentary of cricket matches. And this fondness remained a part of my childhood journey with radio. In earlier times, there used to be large electric radios. It is known that the government used to issue radio licenses and charge a fee. . Electric radios used to have a wire mesh antenna that was mounted on top of a light bulb, which could be used to hear radio programs clearly. In the last two or three decades of the 20th century, radio was the main source of information and entertainment around the world. Cell-powered radios were called transistors, with Bush radios, Phillips radios, and the Murphy radios in our home being popular. Murphy used to have a picture of a small child on the radio, in which a beautiful child could be seen smiling with his thumb in his mouth. The cell radio was special in that it could be carried anywhere, but the cells used to wear out quickly. The cells of Eveready and National were famous. Dad used to listen cricket commentary and news when he stayed at home. People who are familiar with radio know that there used to be two types of radio frequency, short wave and medium wave. State and national programs were heard on medium wave. All India Radio programs were broadcast from Hyderabad. The ten minute Urdu news at 5:50 in the evening was quite popular. At 5:50 we used to open the radio and listen to Urdu news, in which it was said that this is Akash Vani, now listen to regional news from Naveed Akhtar. In these news broadcasts from Hyderabad, the latest news was broadcast, especially the curfew news was listened to with interest. English and Hindi news were broadcast every hour from Akashvani All India Radio on Medium Wave at 8:00 in the morning and 8:30 and 9:00 in the evening in Hindi and English news. In the night, the medium wave programs were clearly heard and during the stay in Nizamabad, the Urdu program Anjuman broadcast from Aurangabad was also listened to with great interest. Radio Pakistan news was also heard at 8:30 pm. Sometimes, when the call to prayer of Haram Sharif was heard from the Saudi radio, we feel very happy that we had the opportunity to listen to the call to prayer of Haram Sharif sitting at home. Shortwave programs used to be broadcast from all over the world, often we heard from a radio announcer in a country that we are addressing you on the shortwave nineteen twenty five thirty one and forty one meter bands. Radio Salon and the BBC Radio Service were quite popular at that time. Indian film song programs were broadcast from Radio Salon in the morning and evening. At 7:30 to 8 AM, the old film songs used to end with a song by Sehgal. Whenever it was half an hour or an hour, the announcer would say that this Radio Salon It is about eight o'clock in the morning. It was said that people used to match the time of their watches with the radio salon program at which time the watch worn on the wrist had to be keyed. Binaca Geetmala popular program of film songs was broadcast from Radio Salon every Wednesday from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, in which the voice of the famous announcer Amin Sayani is known by all the people of that time that Bahnu and Bhaiyo Binaca Geetmala Ki Paidaan no. This song is presented on one.Binaca Geetmala was so popular that I remember going from home at night to my friend's house to prepare for the SSC exam, then on Wednesday night, the sound of this program was broadcast from all houses. All India Radio Urdu Service was also a noted program, on which apart from the program of film songs, news and other programs were broadcast in Urdu. When it came to my interest and association with radio, I also became fond of listening to cricket commentary on the radio. Commentary of all Indian cricket matches was broadcast in Hindi and English on the radio. Pakistan team under the leadership of Asif Iqbal was touring India and there was also a three-day match in Hyderabad. Zaheer Abbas Javed Mian Dad Imran Khan Wasim Bari Sarfaraz Nawaz Iqbal Qasim etc. were famous cricket players of that era who visited India. Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Vishwanath, Kapil Dev and Syed Kirmani were cricketers in the Indian team. It was also a part of my hobby to find the score for 10 minutes by approaching the paan box near the school when the break bell rang. Kulfi's Bandiwale also used to provide radio commentary with Sushil Doshi and Murali Manohar Manjul in Hindi and Suresh Saria Narottam Puri and Skand Gupt in English. After listening to commentary during the day, listening to sports news in Hindi at 7:05 PM and in English at 8:05 PM was also a daily routine. In which, apart from India, the news of matches from all over the world was presented. The Asian Games held in India PT Osha's success in the 400m race and the success of the Indian hockey team with the feats of players like Zafar Iqbal and Mohammad Shahid used to give us national pride in our childhood. It was a sign of love for the country that elder people were in favor of Pakistan and we, our brothers and sisters, were in favor of India. This process continued for years. In 1983, India won the Cricket World Cup in London under the leadership of Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev played a memorable innings of 175 runs in Swansea to give India victory. Beating England in the semi-final and stopping the strongest team of West Indies from the target of 183 in the final and then winning the cricket world cup, all this we found out by listening to the cricket commentary. This was the era of the rise of the famous cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin when he started his test career in the home series against England and set a world record by scoring three consecutive centuries which still stands today. It is a sign of Azharuddin's popularity that if any cricketer who listens to the commentary on the road asks what is the score, then he will say Azharuddin's score as 93 not out. In 1985, India won the World Series Cup in Australia under the leadership of Gavaskar. At that time, television was just started in Nizambad and we used to go to the local collector's office to watch the matches. We saw how Ravi Shastri was awarded as player of the series. And the Audi car was given as a gift. And Azharuddin led India to victory by brilliant batting against Imran Khan's Pakistan team. The talk of radio and cricket commentary was going on, so at the same time when the Indian team visited England and the Colonel of Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar scored a century at Lord's for the third time, we also listem this memorable match with parents and brothers and sisters on the radio. I used to listen in school days the English cricket commentary, It was good for me that it made my English better. At that time, BBC Test Match Special Cricket Commentary was heard on shortwave nineteen and twenty five meter band, Christopher Martin Jenkins and Henry Blofield were famous cricket commentators of the BBC, later Jeff Boycott also joined. When the Pakistani team won at Lord's with the help of Mudasir Nazar's brilliant swing bowling, we also heard about it on the radio with Dad. The matches in England were heard from three o'clock to ten o'clock in the night. Listening to cricket commentary from Radio Australia was also a memorable event in my life. Radio Australia's cricket commentary was heard on shortwave on the 13 meter band, which was only broadcast on five-band radio, but somehow this commentary also got on our Murphy radio. The cricket matches in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide in which Sunil Gavaskar and Sandeep Patil scored centuries against fast bowlers like Dennis Lillee and Kapil Dev took five wickets on the last day of the Melbourne Test to give India a memorable victory. We listen this also on our radio. Commentary was part of the fun to listen to. Later, my father was gifted with a small jetking radio and on this radio I also got the opportunity to listen to live commentary from Australia, England and West Indies. Listening to this commentary while sleeping is part of the childhood memories when Marshall Roberts Holding and Croft used to be fast bowlers, Richards Lloyd Logie Dujan and others were good batsmen. The famous West Indies commentator was Tony Kozier. Listening to radio commentary from Pakistan was a difficult task as their stations were not easily received, so to listen to this commentary we used to keep the radio on an electric box and sometimes use a long antenna. The famous cricket commentator of Radio Pakistan was Hasan Jameel, at that time Imran Khan and Abdul Qadir Saleem Malik were widely discussed. The same passion for cricket commentary once prompted Australia to write to Airmail asking to send for their New Year's calendar.After a month  I received a postal cover from Radia Australia in which a beautiful color calendar was there as a gift.Apart from cricket on the radio, listening to news was my other main hobby. The political news of the 80s is part of the childhood memories. BBC used to cover the political situation in Pakistan when Bhutto was hanged, General Zia's martial law era and Indira Gandhi's era in India. When Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated, I used to listen from my father about the emergency situation, and used to tell the news about the accident on BBC throughout the night. Apart from the news on BBC, Sairbeen was a famous program that used to know the situation around the world. The music of Sairbeen is still echoing in the ears. They are part of our childhood memories. Sidhubhai's program on BBC was also listened to with great interest. A radio program Nirang from Hyderabad on Medium Wave was sometimes heard in Districts. After shifting to Hyderabad in 1985, the Nairang program began to be heard clearly. Later, during my college days, I participated in debates in the Yawani programes on All India Radio Hyderabad . Had an opportunity to participate in Haraf Tabandah Presentation and Sports Roundup. I used to get a contract letter from the post to present a program on the radio. Such a contract letter would be kept as a souvenir for many days. Meetings were held with Mr. Aslam Farshuri Sahib, Mr. Jafar Ali Khan and others in Hyderabad Radio at that time. A few of our college friends also used to present programs on the radio, the details of the radio program used to be published in the newspaper. When one's name was included in the program, the newspaper clipping would be cut and pasted into an album, the memories of which are still with me today. In the Nairang programme, a radio drama was presented on Sundays, which was listened to with great enthusiasm. I also used to listen to AVRC's English programs with great interest. It was a time when television was not present in homes. In Hyderabad, black and white television was only available in a few homes until the 90s, where Hindi movies on Saturday evenings and Chitrahar film songs on Wednesday evenings were quite popular. I used to listen the Islamic programs from Radio Pakistan every morning on the radio and later listening to Urdu programs were also part of the activities. This continued for many years, listening to Naats and speeches at the time of Ramazan Sahri from Radio Pakistan and at the end the Fajr Azaan in a beautiful voice. After Maghrib, iftar transmission was also listened on the radio. Since the house had a scholarly and literary atmosphere, it was forbidden to listen to film songs, but film songs were heard from here and there. My childhood was Amitabh's peak time, I used to see movie posters on the way, which had posters of Amitabh Bachchan's popular movies and used to play the songs of these movies on the radio. All India Radio program of film songs for military brothers, broadcasting of dramas under Hawa Mahal and special programs till 12 pm on the last day of the year were also part of the radio. It was the love of listening to news and the love of getting information that kept us updated and kept us informed about the current affairs of our hobby long before the next day's newspaper arrived. Going to the library and studying newspapers and magazines added to the knowledge which later benefited in the form of success in competitive exams. After arriving in Hyderabad, I got a chance to listen to Taraweeh on the radio of Saudi Arabia at night in the month of Ramadan. , and instead of radio, we started watching and listening live cricket commentary on television. Various cricket matches and programs in English and Hindi were part of my hobby on ESPN Star Sports and later on Sony TV. In the late 20th century and the first decade of the 21st century, radio remained popular but gradually declined. FM radio was also heard in buses and cars in Hyderabad. Small FM radio sets were also found in Chinese goods shops. The Murphy radio in our house for about twenty to twenty five years broke down many times. Our friend Naseem bhai used to repair it at the radio shop. Where this hobby taught me to master in English, old memories also became a part of my memory. Today, after the advent of the Internet, radio has also become a part of the Internet. Still my passion for cricket commentary drives me to listen to the radio.Radio Australia's Grandstand and BBC's Radio Five app provides cricket commentary. Some people are giving commentry on YouTube while watching TV and I use the same radio commentary while doing some work on the computer or lying down. Technology has changed over time. Earlier, radio signals were sent by installing huge towers, now the same radio signals are sent through the Internet. Going to the radio station at Nampally in Hyderabad and sitting in front of the closed mike in the glass room to record radio programs are also memories of my college days. It is hoped that our students and friends of the new generation will read my childhood hobbies and nostalgia and try to form some opinion about me from my past hobbies.

Affiliation with Urdu language and literature

 

Today, after the completion of half a century of life, when I look back, I realize that Urdu was my mother tongue. Education from first class to Ph.D. in Urdu, connecting to employment in Urdu and becoming an Urdu Pandit, then Junior and Degree Lecturer in Urdu, and a teacher of Urdu becoming the Principal of a Government Degree College. Nothing less than honours. I was interested in prose from the very beginning. Reading stories and taking some lessons from them in life was my habbit. As a child, I have read many stories of Mohiuddin Nawab in Noor, Hilal, Khiluna, Hadi, Batul, and later reading some magazines and novels, especially in Hazar Rang Sadharing Digests. When I was in BA, I studied history, literature and Urdu as part of the syllabus. In MA also read Premchand's novel Gaudan Manto and Asmat's fiction as a curricular requirement. I read Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi, Rasheed Ahmed Siddiqui and others with passion. I read many stories in the newspapers by Mujtaba Hussain and in the story group on social media. Since the education and training was Islamic style. There was never an agreement to go to the theater and watch the movie. Yes, I used to listen to plays, film songs on the radio and the ghazals of Munni Begum, Ghulam Ali and Jagjit Singh on the tape recorder. Later, I listen to the ghazals of Attaullah Khan Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan a lot. I also used to watch ETV Mushairas with interest and later listened to new age poets a lot on YouTube. During my education, I read the case of Hali's poetry and poetry, which influenced the idea of literature for life. While Hali described poetry as subject to the society and said that the mood of the society will be as such the poetry of a time. And good poetry can bring revolution in times. There is still a commitment to the theory of literature for life, but literature for the sake of literature cannot negate the theory because the spirit of reform cannot be driven in every era. Whether it is poetry or fine arts, there are different styles of life and when a person gets tired from the work of his daily life, he turns to good poetry, music, songs and dramas to reduce his stress and bring joy to the heart and mind. And also enjoys stories, so I like literature for the sake of literature along with philosophy of life, but vulgarity is not part of literature. This is the reason why I have strongly criticized the sexism in Aziz Ahmed's novels while other critics of the novel have called it a part of art. According to me, man has been made beautiful by Allah and he should like beauty, while Manto and Ismat argue that gender or the dispersion of human minds is also a part of human society and life, so it should appear in literature, while I believe that what kind of literature are we serving by portraying what a person does in a closed room to satisfy himself through fiction, drama or film. And I want the future generation to make Iqbal's actions the message of the believer a part of their practical life. For this, I have started the series of understanding of Iqbal's popular poems under what Iqbal said. I wrote an essay. Iqbal's poetry for children has also been written, highlighting the message presented by Iqbal in his poems for children. Regarding literature, I want to say that the pen is a trust given to man by Allah and there is not enough time in this fast-paced life to pollute our pen for the sake of some time. I also believe in the critical attitude of Aal e Ahmed Suroor, in which he has presented various topics of Urdu literature with expressive criticism, and I have also written criticism in all the literary articles. Expressive style has been presented. Father was a poet but I have not got the poetic flair and I have been presenting my thoughts in the form of prose. For creative literature, a person needs moments of peace and leisure, and in it, the power of expression with the depth of observation is needed. Essays are part of my literary wealth. As far as the wider study of literary wealth is concerned, many masterpieces of prose and poetry have not yet been read completely. Rekhta website provides customized literature books. Research Books are studied to supplement the need. Read many books on the art of novel writing during MPhil. Art of Research I have read books on textual criticism and fiction and novel criticism and have had the opportunity to learn a lot from them. After completion of MPhil and PhD, I got the opportunity to guide many research scholars and corrected their thesis. During this time there was a lot of study on various topics which also helped me to identify my literary attitude. Now the book has been taken over by computer and smartphone screens. There are many pure Urdu language and literature groups on social media Facebook like Urdu Afsana Urdu Sarai Pak Tea House etc. On these social media sites, one gets to read good literary content depending on the occasion. World Fiction Forum and Urdu Fiction Forum hold fiction writing competitions twice a year. On which I keep reading published fiction.In my youth, I have read some of Ibn Safi's novels, later I did not read any novel completely due to academic engagements and busy schedule of life. I have read Gian Singh Shatir's novel and in recent times North Indian writer and novelist Mohsin Khan's novel Allah Mian Ka Karkhana in full and have also commented on it. This novel showed such interest that I finished the novel in eight to ten hours in a single day. My comment on Rafia Manzoorul Amin's fiction titled Chas was published in the Siasat newspaper and was liked by the fiction writer and others. It was also agreed to read and comment on Iqbal Mateen's novel Chirag Teha Damaan. In fiction, read the fictions of Bedi, Manto, Asmat, Krishnachandra and Premchand as per the curriculum requirement. Looking at the present mechanized situation of human life, it can be said that it is also important for a person to study literature. And the form of literature may be YouTube dramas or movies, but the study of literature in book form must be in the form of fiction, novel, drama or story. If good literature is created for it, its readers can also be available. If a person is proficient in language and speech, then he should keep writing something like daily accounts in the form of a diary. Memories will be preserved. Urdu literature has value in world literature. Masterpieces of Urdu epitaph novels and fiction are no doubt the equals of English and French literature. I will be born a creator who writes good poetry and literature.

 Friends and Social Media Friendship

It is no less than a blessing to find a good friend in life who helps in time and guides us correctly by pointing out our mistakes. Friendship must be there, but within a certain limit, a poet had well said that

Badhao na aapas mein millat ziada  mubada ke hojae nafrat ziada

When I look at my friends from childhood till now, among my friends in the family during my stay in Nizamabad was the late Khalid Abdul Qadoos who died after falling into the canal and drowned. I went quite far along the canal to find his body but later the water of the canal which collected in the Masani pond found his body the next day. His separation still haunts me. Khalid used to come with his family to our house, that is, to the house of grandmother and mother, and while eating, he would call out, "Nani Pani". His hairstyle was very good, he used to make a high bun in the front. In the family, I was friends with my paternal uncle Ashfaq and Nawab uncle's son Shakir and Salim uncle's sons Naseem, Kaleem and Asim. Even after arriving in Hyderabad, Ashfaq Shakir used to sit in the Golden Cafe every night and talk about how to earn five thousand while drinking tea worth two rupees. As a child, I had a close friendship with Nadeem, who belonged to the Salam Zarda family. Other friends in the class include Aslam Lohia, Siddique, Saleem, Nizamuddin, Arif, Mujahid, Qadir, Asif and Azmat. Similarly, when I joined Qila High School, I had friends like Sohail Parvez, Sajjad, Faheem, Qiyamuddin, Ahmed, Asim bin Masood, Salim, Azam, Rehman and others. Our classmates used to bring sugarcane from the sugarcane factory in the pass and we used to eat sugarcane when we went to the fort. During the high school days, there was a friend Hameed. His special thing was that someone used to give out the papers of quarterly and half yearly examinations. The school teacher used to give him tomorrow's paper in the night. If I got that paper, my school friends would also get that paper from me. In this way, in eighth and ninth grade, they kept giving out papers and passing the exam. In the SSC exam, when our exam center was in Government High School Khalilwadi, Asif's number was in front of me and Azmat's number was behind me. These guys were my colleagues for 10 years, Azam on the right and Aslam Lohia on the left. A friend of ours provided a copy of the objective type answers in the physical science exam and somehow we managed to write the copy without the examiner seeing it. Some help in maths exam came from Azam who is now in USA. There was also a friend of ours in high school, Siraj, whose handwriting is very beautiful. He used to write with a twenty-five-paisa nib. . When Siraj and I were in 9th standard, Siraj and Kaleem wrote the 10th standard exam in 9th and they passed while me and my other colleagues passed with the new syllabus. There were many people in the family. In our neighborhood, there was a house and a shop of the Bharat band people, their workers and the children of the laborers were very rude and abusive. When I moved to Hyderabad, I became friends with Shahryar Ashfaq, Sohail, Ahmad, Zafar, Imran, etc. in Miraj Colony. They often joined me in prayer in the mosque and in the cricket field. Collegeman Shehryar was also friends with Hanif who was a mathematician who later became a mathematics lecturer at St. Joseph's College. Imran is in America, Ahmed is in Australia while Shehryar is in Saudi and my friend Ashfaq is in London.At the degree college level, I did not make many friends in literary competitions. There were some classmates and some junior colleagues in the university, including Makhdoom, Kaleem, Gul e Rana, Narjis Gulnar etc. Gul e Rana is an Associate Professor in Telangana University. Kalim is a degree lecturer and Dr. Abrarul Baqi is an Associate Professor in Shatawahana University. Dr. Jafar Jari and Dr. Munawr in Karimnagar are friends of the University with him. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qavi in Nizamabad. Dr. Musa Iqbal is one of the famous people of the university. Dr. Muhammad Nazim Ali and Dr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Sohail are among the friends from Nizamabad who remained friends and in contact by phone and in person. Dr. Muhammad Nazim Ali is a good writer. After being the Head of the Urdu department in Giriraj College, he retired to the position of principal in Government Degree College Mortad on pension. Azeez Sohail is very supportive. Dr. Nazim Ali is counted among my friends who still calls me daily. Muhammad Abdul Baseer of Nizamabad is also among good friends, these days he is RLC in Timris schools. Rahman Dawoodi, Nahida Begum, Dr. Humira Sayeed, Dr. Asrar Sabili, Dr. Azmatullah, Dr. Nizamuddin, Dr. Anwaruddin, Dr. Ayesha  Dr Syed Abdul Kareem and others. There are urdu lecturers with whom we keep in touch as we are professionals.

Due to social media Facebook, the circle of social friendship has increased. Yahya Khan Tandoori, Mr. Ahmad Arshad Hussain, Syed Mukram Niaz, Dr. Fazil Hussain Parvez, Ahmed Premi Chicago, Dr. Abdul Hai, Mubeen Nazir are among those who are now close friends on social media. A social media friendship is a friendship in which everyone is online with a green dot, but no one visits someone's house or talks sweetly on the phone. Now Eid-Barat, Marriage, Illness, Death, whatever the occasion is, people post information messages on social media and friends pay their right to friendship through their likes and comments. With the advent of phones and social media, real friendships have disappeared and relationships are no longer real. People meet in person at feasts or on the occasion of someone's death. Thus now my circle of real friends is also limited. Now life is your friend and you have to be friendly with it. Sometimes a friend or student calls, then the heart is happy that someone remembered. Otherwise, seeing Facebook and WhatsApp posts, messaging each other is left as friendship. The friends who have been remembered in this aap beti will be happy if they continue to meet in person or talk to them on the phone.

Affiliation to Islam and Hajj Travel

Islam is the best religion in the world, but Muslims who believe in it are accused of being the worst followers of Islam. It was the grace of Allah that he bestowed the wealth of Islam without asking. kept in an environment where the truth is recognized and false innovations are avoided. Madinah Masjid of Phulang during my childhood in Nizamabad, education of Madrasa Huffaz and statements of Maulana Aqil Sahib in the annual meetings of the Madrasa, Masjid of Phulang In the environment of Tablighi Jamaat and SIO's invitation to the youth to follow Islam, it was the environment that gave an opportunity to live with good Islamic values from the beginning.I was in eighth grade, after the end of summer, it was the month of August, when I was fasting, after that, by the grace of Allah, I got the honor of fasting the month of Ramadan without any disconnection. Hafiz Fateen Ashraf Siddiqui had the opportunity to listen to the Quran during Ramadan for twenty years in the Phulang mosque. Hafiz Irfan's elder brother Hafiz Ghufran Ahmad also listened to the Quran. Hafiz Irfan sahab was my first memorization teacher. There used to be a special arrangement for the nights of waking up in the mosque. After listening to the statement with Imam Sahib, all the people used to recite Salat al-Tasbih prayer in congregation at night. Tahajjud was performed after two o'clock in the night and often fasting was arranged for the next day with the arrangement of Suhr. I used to read for it, children from the neighborhood in lorries used to go to the modern Eidgah Fort with loud slogans of Takbeer Allahu Akbar. Some times  I went to eid gah with my uncle Saleem seth in his yellow lorry.Sitting in it, we used to go to Eid Gah, on our way back, my uncle used to give Eidi and also used to come to our house. Whenever the tablighi jamat visits in our mosque  and came to meet the people in locality, the wicked children would say that the army of Allah Mian is coming. It was agreed to offer Friday prayers behind Maulana Attaur Rehman, the preacher of the Jamia Masjid. It was agreed to read the Qur'an with meaning and interpretation in Hyderabad. In Nizamabad, the influence of the Islamic environment was to avoid evil and obey the parents, respect the teachers and respect the elders of the family. Shaukat Sahib Sheikh Ahmad Sahib continued to teach memorization in the Malle Pally Masjid in Hyderabad. In Mairaj Colony Mr. Abid Khan Sahib was the Amir of all the local people, he used to recite Tafsir at Fajr and on important nights his first recital was in our Masjid. Helped to understand.In the journey of Tablighi Jamaat with Maulana Jamalur Rahman Sahab, I had the opportunity to meet the great people like Taj-ul-Masjid of Bhopal, Maulana Inamul Hasan Sahib, Maulana Zubair Sahib, Maulana Ahmed Lat Sahib, Maulana Mianji Mihrab in the Tablighi markaz  of Delhi. During our stay in Saharanpur in North India, we met Maulana Zubair Sahib and Hakeem Nanhu Mian. During Hardoi's stay in Madrasa, it was agreed to sit in the meetings of Mohi Sunnah Shah Abrarul Haq Sahib. I also shook hands with Qari Siddiq Sahib Banda. After returning to Hyderabad, I got the opportunity to study and utilize the teachings of the Qur'an. Studying 'Etiquettes of Life', Virtues of Actions, Virtues of Actions, Part II, Selected Hadiths of Hayat Al-Sahaba and other Islamic books helped to understand the true spirit of the religion of Islam. During the time of my father, Hayat Muhammad had the opportunity to read and comment on this Muhammad Hikal book. Later, I compiled the book of Sirat-ul-Nabi and the beloved Sunnahs of the beloved Prophet. Read complete volumes of Taleem  ul-Isalam while studying in Madrasa. Durre Yatim read the book during school and on the basis of the study of this book, I also won a prize in the writing competitions of the Prophet's biography. Spent time in Delhi with my colleague Mr. Saeed Hussain Sahib, Ex-Principal Government Junior College, Ibrahim Putnam, in connection with the preaching tour. Mr. Mateen Bhai traveled to Tandoor with the teacher and with my relative Mr. Hafiz Irshad Sahib, I traveled to Aurangabad. Locally, participation in the meetings and education of the mosque continues. It is observed that in order to protect the faith and follow the faith, affiliation with Tablighi Jamaat is necessary because with this affiliation, a person is practically connected to actions and invitation. The responsibility of religion can also be fulfilled. In the time of inflation, instead of complaining to each other, it is important for people to be connected with religion in practice. During my stay in Sangaredi, when I was working at the Government Degree College, Zaheerabad, in 2008, when my name and my wife's name came out through the Hajj committee's lottery, by the grace of Allah, we were blessed with the blessing of Hajj Baitullah and visiting the Prophet's Mosque and Rasool's Tomb. The Hajj pilgrims were first taken to Madinah Manorah while getting off the bus, seeing the green dome, we felt a strange feeling in our hearts that we were fortunate enough to attend the court of the Master. We had the opportunity to walk to the Quba Mosque and visit Madinah Manwarah. Staying in Madinah for eight days and performing forty prayers was a beautiful period of life. Arriving in Makkah from Madinah in the state of Ihram, performing Umrah in the morning and seeing the Kaaba closely and praying. Hajj days also went well and after returning with Hajj memories, I wrote a long article based on Hajj observations, Hajj Ek Ishq Ka Safar, which is available on the Internet. For the guidance of Hajj pilgrims, a blog called Hajj Ka Safar was also created, on which there are pictures of holy places, maps, important books and video links for the guidance of pilgrims. A lot of buildings have been built. In any case, we pray that Allah Almighty will bless us with the happiness of Umrah and Hajj again. From the field in which a person works in his life, One whoul help others, this is also worship. So I try to help people as much as possible while on the job. And I hope for a good reward from Allah. From a religious point of view, the intensity has now increased. In such a situation, to follow the right path, it is necessary to always pray to Allah for the right path and to keep striving for it.

 Other attitudes of life.

 

The caravan of time is passing fast, months and years are passing by at lightning speed. Man has become a machine and he does not realize that he passes from childhood to youth and from youth to old age. It was said about the time of doomsday that the time will be unblessed, but the righteous servants of Allah will do many good deeds in the time passing by at such a fast pace. I wrote an article today in my first book, The Rainbow, which emphasized that tomorrow never comes in human life. It happens today, so we have to plan short-term to improve today in our life. Before going to sleep, take account of the day, how did I spend today, did I do the things I was supposed to do, if not. If not, how will he do it in the coming days? Success in life is to make the best of this day by planning and taking resources for the coming day. It has been the same routine in my life that the target should be fulfilled, getting a good education in childhood, appearing and succeeding in the exams, completing the house work and now I give priority to the fulfillment of all the demands that come in life during the job.Since I have always had a desire to help others, especially in the field of education and Urdu language, often friends make requests, sometimes requesting a book, sometimes requesting an article. I also continue to guide them in writing the thesis and correcting the thesis. Due to familiarity with Urdu and computer, many universities and colleges are now giving me confidential work which I complete and send on time. Online checking of papers is also an important step in which Urdu teachers often lag behind. Considering the service of Urdu, I continue to perform this work on time. Being the principal in the college, I complete all the target tasks on time with the help of the teachers and staff of the college. We are not behind anyone. An important task in helping people is the signature of a gazetted official. Because I have been holding a gazetted post since my initial employment with the prayers of my parents and the grace of Allah, I would sign it with the trust of Allah whenever someone approached me for a signature. May it be someone's work with our help, may it be requests for marriage, may it be requests for Aadhaar card or any other document. I always carry my stamp and perform this service wherever needed. If you help Allah will help you. This passion and practical practice on it is an observation that at first difficulties in life are few, if they do occur, then Allah solves these difficulties immediately.

As far as the matter of my dress is concerned. Since 10th standard I have stopped wearing pant shirt and kurta pajama hat and now sadri are part of my outfit. And that is my identity. Many people look at my dress and ask if I am a cleric of a seminary, so I show the green pin in my pocket and say that I am a government officer and hold a gazetted position. This is the favor of Allah. Allah has never kept needy in the time of parents and now in the time of his employment. Allah provides the equipment to fulfill all the necessities of life. So there was never a problem. The training was also that the more the chadar spread the more feet, so there was less extravagance in life. There was no more passion in the matter of clothes and good food and fashion. Simplicity is good. This practice continued throughout life. Dad used to smoke after Wazifa, when he had a stroke, he gave up smoking, but me and my elder brother learned the lesson of never getting into the habit of smoking, even though children in the family smoked. Apart from cigarettes, Guthka Pan has not become a habit or addiction either. While today's children don't think it's bad to drink Shisha or Huqqah. They keep eating the fruits and blessings that Allah gave them. After reaching the age of forty, in Nizamabad in 2013, Diabetes was diagnosed for me. Initially, when I was diagnosed with diabetes, I was afraid that how life would go with diabetes, but today it has been fifteen years since I had diabetes, and life continues with this disease. Diabetes is not actually a disease, but eating habits and working habits in life. It is called controlling. If you avoid sweet tea and sweets and take medicine on time, sugar stays under control, but if sugar increases, the person becomes weak and his feelings to work decrease.We pray to God to protect us from other diseases. This is a great thing. A man's bike  is  like his second spouse. After driving Bhai Sahib's Luna for many years in the early days, after marriage, I bought a Bajaj Chetak. This Chetak ran in Nagar Kurnool, Sangareddy, Nizamabad and Hyderabad and was our companion in the journey of life. Once in a heavy rain when the scooter got submerged and its servicing was not up to par, I gave this Chetak to a mechanic at a low price, thus ending the journey of twenty years on this Chetak. If you do, the bike of your choice comes, so now I don't have a bike in use, the children have bikes with them or travel in Hyderabad on a hired car. Daily commute to work place is by bus. Now life has become so limited that relationships are also limited on the phone. On the occasion of marriage, family members are met; otherwise, news and pictures are shared with family members and friends round the clock in WhatsApp groups. I pay less attention to home and more to writing. Now with the religious orientation, you cannot go for more entertainment, the ability that Allah has given is to be used for the people, the children take care of the house. If we talk about politics along with religious and social life, then I can say about myself that I am a supporter of socialist ideas, the value of humanity is the greatest religion. Man has become thirsty for the blood of man while we have been taught to help man without looking at religion. Today's politics has become the politics of wealth and power, now even the vote is no longer important, so my view is that instead of democracy, there should be a system in which real people participate and try to remove the pain and suffering of the people.Today we can help each other without caring about the help of politicians and government. India is the largest democracy in the world, the minority here is the majority of the world. India was called Gulestan by Iqbal because people of many religions and civilizations have lived together here and even today India is an ideal country in the world.

My approach to life is to live in obedience to Allah and help each other. In front of the vastness and greatness of this universe and the life of the world, a person's own life is nothing less than a drop of the sea and a bubble of water. The time found in a person's life is nothing more than a few moments. Appreciate his life and do something so that humanity remembers him because of his achievements. This is also my message for life. According to Iqbal.
